I see your point and raise you this: “Just because I’m paranoid, doesn’t mean they’re not out to get me.” On a more serious note, the ball is in the, erm, USA’s court, as it is. If PACT does get overturned for those few cases, that would make a precedent for more. And we might, not knowing the american legal system too well, see PACT demolished. Still, most of the international players have already thrown in the towel and relocated their operations instead of getting to learn the new walz. Apart from Toque, which is waiting for FDA approval. So on that end, you would be at the mercy of the local tobacco shops in your area/state. There have been *ahem* a couple *ahem* suggestions on improvised lifeline of forwarding orders from this side of the pond, but for now, that too is on hold. The older I get, more I agree with guys like Kissinger, Charles de Gaulle, Otto von Bismarck, Leonid Brezhnev and Eamon de Valera to name a few. Real statesmen, now we have…nobodies.

I used to work and live at Kent School in Kent, CT where Kissinger went to school (prep/private school). His family settled in Kent and he still lives there. Quite a few other notorious types have attended that school or taught there. I was a lowly food service porter that served the students and such. Seth MacFarland, creator and voices of “the Family Guy”, attended when i was there. I used to smoke cigars and do snuff then. I had a friend who was the sous chef. He always wanted me to smoke pot with him. Funny times, I suppose.

@mittens. The lawsuit against PACT claims that the the law is unconstitutional. If the judge rules that is is indeed unconstitutional, then it applies to everyone, not just the 2 companies that filed. Of course, the govt is likely to appeal a ruling like that, which will drag things out for quite a while. Could eventually make it to the supreme court.

But I think the jist of it has been made known: Things are in a state of constant flux right now. There ain’t anything any of us can guarantee, one way or the other. We’ll just have to wait and see.
