Has anyone every tried to regrind a commercialy avilable snuff??? Like motar and pestle some president to a better coarseness???

I reground some Taxi Rock. I let it dry and used a wooden spoon and a glass bowl. It came out better than when it was moist.

I’ve reground & sieved magnet peach to get rid of the peach pits. I’ve also reground then rehydrated SG Kendal Brown. And I’ve reground mixes to get a more consistent grind.

how well has that worked? I ask because there are some snuffs that if this works well I might buy the mortar so I can enjoy them more (coarse really bothers my nose)

It works just fine. Grind sieve grind sieve grind sieve and you should have a great snuff. Just noticed the title to this discussion ‘motar question’

It’s mortar (& pestle), but I wish my pestle had a motor - but the battery power works OK.

You can get a really nice stoneware mortar/pestle at Asian grocery stores for cheap. Just DO NOT use one for snuff they used before to grind hot pepper in!

oh yeah I’ve seen thee nice stoneware ones at asian groceries. They rock. yeah motar don’t know how to edit that out.
