In all your days of snuffing which one snuff have you put in your nose more than all the others?

Hey, I asked “which ONE”!

To my surprise, I’m going through White Elephant faster than anything.  When I got it, I didn’t think I could ever make a dent in it.  

You can’t ask seasoned snuffers to name just ONE

@McSnuffy, ok ok if it has to be just one, by volume alone, 41P WE, there are a number of others I like more , in different ways but I do this one most frequently for some weird reason…

@SeanOCDpx, man same thing happened to me. I remeber getting the first 35gr tin and I was like " WTH is this???" took a little pinch and thought it very nice. Nowadays, I could probably finish that whole tin in a week if i tried. Strange

I’m not familiar with every snuff mentioned but aren’t they all non-scented pure tobacco snuffs?  Interesting.

I favor plain snuffs. But there is no one snuff that I use most.

Berwick Brown is scented.  I tend to pig out on it, so by volume I’d say it’s my most used.

F&T HDT = smaller pinches so less consumed, but my favored if you’re forcing me to choose only one-- the thought of only one snuff offends my nose!

If I gotta say one than it’s white elephant hands down. I wouldn’t pick it for my only desert island snuff but I go through it fast. Every time I fill my dedicated elephant box I’m stunned at how quick it’s empty.

I would never have guessed White Elephant is that popular, but I’ll add my voice to the majority, with a note that I alternate indiscriminately between the other Indian whites. I’ve been beginning to think I might try a week or two with NO White Indian snuffs, just to try to appreciate the others a bit more. If I’m feeling lazy, I’ll just pack a box with them and take nothing else all day.

F&T HDT.  I used to buy bulk, but the large tins are actually a better bargain; it tends to keep and age better than bulk…not that it lasts long enough to age around here intentionally, but I manage to stumble on a few tins Chloe has chased under some furniture every now and again of unknown vintage.  I go through a 50 about every ten days or so, with most ending up in my moustache, desk or all over Chloe.  My 'stache looks like a beverage created from equal parts Guinness Stout and Harp Lager with a bit of white tossed in for “character”.

The most snuff I use is F&T HDT then it would be Tube Rose mixed with Railroad Mills sweet.I also use a lot of Toque USA whiskey and honey.

Viking Dark

Indian Snuff. 

For the past year or so USA Whiskey & Honey has blown all competitors away for me. Prior to that it would be a tie between Viking Dark and IHT#22 or Toque Natural Toast. I still use a good bit of Viking Dark and plain toasts but I think W&H is preferred by a ratio of about 2:1 of the other two.

Well I’ve got some Viking Dark ordered!

Jockey Club - as much of that as everything else combined!

@Justin Which brand do you prefer?  I’ve never tried Jockey Club so I’d like to throw a tin in my cart.

White Elephant for sure. I use it to chase pretty much every pinch of snuff I take! I might follow your thinking @JakartaBoy and drop it for a week … just to see where that leads!

I’m a fairly new snuffer. Until my latest order arrives I’ve got 20 tins of Toques and a few others on the go. To my surprise ( cos it doesn’t seem like I use that much ) the one which looks like being emptied first and imminently is… ginger!

@SHbickel I would recommend the Wilsons of Sharrow version - I find the Gawith version to be very artificial.

About two years ago I switched to 6 Photo Kailash and Special.

 F&T HDT is my most used snuff of all time, but lately the majority of what goes up my nose is Toques USA Whiskey & Honey, mainly because I’ve been out of HDT for a couple of weeks now.

It’s a toss up between Toque USA Whiskey and Honey and Viking Dark.

Got some Viking Dark in the post today and I’ve already snuffed an unholy amount -this is seriously good stuff.

Waiting for some VD right now!

@McSnuffy Umm… If I’m not mistaken the preferred term nowadays is “STI”. 

^haha Lately I’ve been using a lot of Toque Raspberry. The first snuff I ever tried was raspberry of an unknown brand a few years back so I guess it kinda stuck with me.

I got just 3 snuffs in my last order which arrived yesterday - F&T HDT, 41P WE and Viking Dark. What I’ve been missing! These are bonkers good and I’m going to end up in casualty with acute snuff poisoning at this rate.

going through my box of empty tins and tap boxes, the proportion of bernards fichtennadel, WoS Tom Buck, and F&T HDT out number the rest drastically.

Toque Berwick Brown. There’s several snuffs I can use as an all day snuff, but Berwick Brown I could use all year

Still waiting for my Viking Dark but in the meantime I’m shoveling in lots of McChrystal’s Original and Genuine!

Toss up between 41 Photo White Elephant or Dholakia White .WE I use straight and DW I 've been scenting 

My dholakia white has a wonderful, delicate, scent, I’d order a pound if I was guaranteed to get the same thing but I’ve read probably 3 or 4 different descriptions along with people saying that lots change drastically between one and the next. All I have left is a 10g plastic container that I use sparingly. Snuff manufactures should start recording lot #'s.
