Most toast-like scotch?

C

I’m sure this has been covered but there is so much info here for a newb like me to sift through and snuffreviews is kaput.

Which of the American scotches do you feel comes closest to its toasty British cousins? Specifically, I am crazy for WoS Irish High Toast and would like to begin my journey into scotches with something that is at least somewhat familiar. Thanks guys.

hmm, think I answered my own question. Starr? Now, is there an online source other than Mr Snuff?

From the reviews Swisher Top’s Mild Scotch is close to an Irish Toast as well.

My local shop will have some in next week.

Starr.

I’m using Navy sweet at the moment and bar the obvious sweet flavour there seems to be a very nice, smoky toast/scotch beneath it. I like it so much I am mixing it with my usual Toque Quit. I love quit but its more of an affect than a taste - still good though - but it is sensational with a sweet scotch like this.

Starr. No doubt. However, it is still a bit of a jump from a toast to Starr. To preemptively answer the reverse question, the closest Toast to a Scotch is Gawth Hoggarth Irish D.

Yeah Starr is great. I bought one of those 3-tin deals on Mr. Snuff and it’s awesome. You get a lot more toasted tobacco and not much bbq. Also Dental Mild is pretty awesome. It tastes more scotch-y than Starr, but still it is pretty mild.
