Every time I’m about to make an order, I wonder: “Which snuff should I choose? How would I know this one is good, and that one I won’t like?” One of my condition is always… snuff appearance. I usually do not enjoy dry snuff, but most of snuff photos are unable to find in Google. So I think it would be nice to have a thread, where we can upload particular snuff photos and see how does it look like before we buy it. First one - Klostermischung, by Bernard Schmalzlerfranzl.

I do love the look of snuff.
Upon reading the the title, I was ready to post my best self portrait.
Not sure how the pics would help determine whether or not I would enjoy a snuff but if you like seeing them OK.
Hey, I said OK. Just a statement/ observation. Did not mean it to be negative. Sorry.
Just like with food the beauty of the product can increase the enjoyment. I worked at a restaurant that had a dive bar below it and the dive served the same food. People always rated the restaurants food much higher and noticed more nuances then with the bar food (which was always rated as amazing for bar food). The difference was environment and presentation.
Kurtsnose posted some banana snuff photos And I was surprised of the difference in color. http://snuffhouse.org/discussion/comment/288162#Comment\\_288162 This makes me reevaluate my thoughts on all reviews , Just goes to show how batches can change! :-B

I wouldn’t lean on that too heavily. The trouble with digital photography – all photography, really – is that the colors will be dramatically affected by the white balance. Unless you go to all the trouble of shooting with a grey card (or just a piece of 0000 white paper in the background) and then shoot in raw and adjust it so that white appears as white, the colors are going to be all over the place. Just take a look at any website on two different monitors and you’ll see how different any image is, unless you’re serious about graphics and calibrate the monitors on a bimonthly basis.

While i agree, the image he is referring to has both snuffs next to each other in the same image, and there is a clear, quite dramatic difference. check his link? on the other hand, i like the idea of this thread.
@basement_shaman You are right there is more diffrence in the colors than the photos show, Even tho I took the pictures with two diffrent settings, They are totally diffrent like night and day Butt boy are they good ! ( never an ashtray) IYKWITA !
C’mon guys, help me in this!

Gewie does a great job of portraying snuff appearance and consistency in his youtube vids. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCr6s64nxjtlOz8od05T2Aag
Samuel Gawith London Brown: This is the coarsest, moistest snuff I’ve had. It’s a bit of a challenge to take but I’ve been working at it and it’s very pleasant. My nose runs like a faucet when I use it so this is the only snuff I have that will be for home use only.
@Kpod I know, that’s why I’ve been subscribing him since he started his vlog
@viertel OK, I was not aware I like your idea to compile photographs of snuffs, I will do my best to cover some ground.
It’s great to look at snuff, and I greatly enjoy it. But when it comes to color I admit that I am partially color blind and do not see the various colors the way you all do. So it is, obviously, not a factor in how I evaluate snuff. But that’s just me. I have other deficiencies as well. 8-}
