A few months back I ordered 2x 100G tubs of Molens Prins Regent. I finished off the first one a few days ago,and cracked open the other today to discover its full of mold. This moldy one also seems to be signifiginyly moister than any other tin of PR I’ve ever gotten. It’s a heart breaking development ):

I would contact @snuffmiller, but also keep in mind that these snuffs are made the old time way and don’t have many or in some cases, any preservatives (salts or …?). It happend to me and to others before, so its not unheard of. In the future, when buying Kralingse in bulk, I would freeze whatever you can’t use within a couple of weeks.
Thanks for the info @xander. I won’t worry about it too much. And it won’t stop me ordering copious amounts of Kralingse again, but I will be sure to freeze the next bulk batch. (;
Yep, happened to me as well. Freezer is the way to go.
@Its Majic: As stated above some of our snuff contain very little or no presevative (including salt) at all. Mold growth well in humid and warm surroundings. As our 100 g containers close very thightly water vapor can hardly escape, as it can in our 12,5 and 25 g containers. This can be the reason of mold growth. As stated above freezing can be helpfull. My advice dump it and I’ll sent you replacements. Jaap Bes.

I agree very muchily. It would be sad if someone just wrote off this snuff because of the mold. Remember if you do that state that it’s due to a lack of preservatives. Make sure it sounds as good as possible. I also think toque should warn about ammonia because man if I thought that was the way their snuffs were supposed to smell I’d think everyone who liked them was brain damaged.
