Mixing Snuffs

I hear people on here talk about mixing snuffs together all the time. I was wondering if there is a prescribed way of doing that. If not, what are everyone’s process with mixing snuffs?

It is good to have a plan what you want to achieve. IE bump up the nicotine, moisten up a dry snuff, tone down a unruly snuff, combine scents like chocolate and orange, or peanutbutter and banana ect. Playing with the % can make or break a mix. Always mix in small batch and take notes. It may be good right away or better in a day and the the opposite can occur,so small batches about 6 hefthy pinches. You can mix anything you can snuff with tobacco snuff.

@Kaiswer_Wilhelm many of us also have a ‘container’ where all sorts of odds and ends wind up and voila, a new mix. I find it is almost always a pleasant experience. A great way to make a mediocre item MUCH better. Try it you’ll like it as they say.

I make mixes in my snuff boxes mostly. The flat shovel spoons given with Bernards 50 gram box snuffs are perfect for cutting (stirring)the mix up. A mortar and pestle or a small bowl with a spoon work well too. Remember the mixture takes about a week or so to fully marry for the final results.

@stogie The tins I can’t quite finish end up in one snuffbox which I call my “monster mash” If it gets too unruly, I just add a few big spoons of my bulk Best SP and its tame again. I have a rather good mix at the moment that’s made up mostly of Touqe chocolate, Maccoboy, Rose of Sharrow and some Bruton scotch, about a dozen other little bits and bobs and a goodly amount of SP. It helps me to finish the tins I really don’t want to finish on their own. Generally, however, I prefer not to mix. I usually mix good with not so good, to use up the not so good. Although I do have 2 or 3 mixes which I like to recreate.
