It is possible for anyone to mix or blend his/her own favourite SP snuff. I used as base Levi Garrett but maybe Toque Natural or Quit might even be better. I’ve added a dab of Toque Lavender for a hint of floral. Violet or Rose will also do the job. That’s if you like an SP with a faint floral note. Otherwise this can be omitted. To add the citrus flavour which SP’s are known for, Toque St Clements and/or Grapefruit will do the job. It took me some time to get to the “perfect” combination but I now have an “SP” which is completely to my liking.

I tend to add 1 spoon of Wilsons Lavender to 4 spoons of Tom Buck or McChrystals SP to give them more punch.

Interesting thread… I haven’t got into blending my own much yet, per se, but I have followed some advice and started 2 mix jars. One is just a mix of many that didn’t agree w/ me and the other one is strictly SPs that I liked, but didn’t thrill me. I call it my “SP Mongrel”. It’s in a small glass jar that’s good and air-tight and after a couple of months it’s turned into a splendid snuff. I don’t remember the proportions, but it contains the following: Snuff Store Traditional SP (this is probably 50% of the mix) McC’s S’nuff Toque SP Extra Toque Original (only 'cos there was a small bit left) Tom Buck (same as above) I put a small bit of McC’s Mild Lemon too I think that’s all, but I might have dropped another one in there…can’t remember but it’s working out fantastically. I think that when I place my next order w/ NicotineRush I’ll get a fresh J&H Wilson’s and I’ll put the last teaspoon of what I’ve got into it (if it’s still here) and probably the last of my SP Extra (I have about 4 grams left but I just don’t like it that much). I think I’ll keep adding the last bits of my SP tins when I get fresh ones. The other Mongrel snuff smells like paint when I open the jar (oddly, I like the smell of wet paint) but when I take a pinch it’s not so bad. There’s still a big hint of Indian snuff in there of which I don’t like so I won’t add any more of that type. Initially both mixes were terrible but with time they’ve become quite good.
