An interesting read but thankfully those articles refer to cigarettes and e-cigarettes - no mention of snuff.

The anti smoking lobby is a multi million pound industry. The government approved “nicorette” products have the big “Pharmaceutical” industry behind them, with big money and well briefed politicians. How dare we use cheap snuff and snuss, instead of paying an extortionate 20GBP for 40 little plastic cartridges containing a bit of nicotine. With a recommended dosage of up to12 per day, its a great source of income. And of course, they don’t contain that terrible ingredient tobacco. The word tobacco will be banned when they"prove" that uttering it causes premature death. Doctors are just as bad. They almost faint at the mention of the word. Yet I discussed this with a consultant cardio vascular surgeon and he thought snuss, snuff and chew was a great idea. As usual, its all about vested interests and money. I am feeling better now I have got this off my chest. Think I will go and consume a little tobacco. Will it be snuff, snuss or a bit of chew?
@khalid, there it is. In other interviews Dalli has admitted that he was after a total blanket ban on smokeless tobacco, and here he is making the argument that smokeless in drawing people into smoking addiction… While I am not sad to see him go, I wonder whether his replacement will be any less of a zealot/big pharma stooge. Now’s the time to cellar, I think. Call me paranoid.
