But, higher taxes on all tobacco products will surely stop people from smoking yet still bring in additional revenue… Right? This is nothing more than another bill that will discourage people from switching to smokeless tobacco and cause more needless deaths from cigarettes.

Also means the purchase of tobacco (leaf and snuff) will be more expensive for me.

Where in the Twin Cities are you finding a good selection of snuff? I’ve never seen much more than silver dollar brand in most of the tobacco stores, so I’ve been ordering online from Mr. Snuff and the snusory.
