Michael Schumacher

Looks like Schumacher might be back then, Interesting :slight_smile:BBC Formula 1 Page

Bring-on 2010, wicked news. Looks like it’s almost a done deal  @Roderick I sent that ten quid up by post yesterday m8, you might get it 2mora, not sure

As an american I say Huh. Also as someone that doesn’t like “watching” sports I say Huh?

I thought the name sounded familiar, but I just couldn’t place it. I used to fancy auto racing until the same guy kept winning year after freaking year. Kind of makes it boring to watch. Imagine if the same football team won every year, what would be the point?

That was Schumacher Chris lol. I find F1 tedious to say the least but a lot of folks seem to like it so good luck to them. Stefan

I actually prefer DTM the cars are hot as hell.

Figure 8 Schoolbus racing is an alternative that may interest some folks…?

Lance Armstrong won 7 TdF titles, retired for 3 years and then tried to make a comeback. He failed sadly. Michael Schumacher won 7 F1 titles, retired for 3 years and now wants to make a comeback. Will he make it?

I’m sure the lads at Top Gear will be on top of this one…

DTM racing, mmm. I’m a big racing fan, but I vowed never to watch DTM ever again after the debacles in Barcelona a couple of years back and the rigging of races because of team orders (and there only two manufacturer teams - Audi and Mercedes). I’ve stuck to my promise. Michael Schumacher should return, but I don’t think he’ll have it easy. But he may blow everyone away and lay to rest the notion he’s always been in the right place at the right time.

@ Stefan: LOL! I don’t know much about F1. We have the same problem here with Nascar’s Jimmy Johnson, I think he’s up to 4 titles in a row.

He’ll be back, I think he has some un-finished business. He could not make up is mind on retiring and Ferrari made him because if he decided at the last moment to retire then they would be hard pressed to find a good replacement. With all the cream having signed up to rival teams.

LatestHe is coming back, and as expected driving for Mercedes-Benz LINK1910 __ should be a very interesting season, as long as he doesn’t win every race!

1910? I know he’s no spring chicken, but I didn’t realise he’d been around that long.

Oops! I won’t edit it. I’ll just say that I can see the bottom of a bottle that was full of red win an hour ago, lol!

Hmmm, and I wonder what the maximum speed would have been for automobiles in 1910…? Worth a race?

@ Red Star 70 mph, or 112 kph.

@Red Star, the Indianapolis race on 1, 2 and 3 July 1910 included cars which could reach speeds of up to 80kph. Check it out at google.

I watched the first live interview with the BBC as it happened…I’m soooo happy. This might sound strange coming from a Brit but, I hope he kick our guys asses. I think Mr L Hamilton needs knocking down a peg or two, a very cocky young man! I’m not saying he’s not a good driver, he is. But, I went right off him the first season when he said “I’ll take anybody on, even Schumacher” easily said when the guys not racing. Now, lets see then… Jenson conducts himself better I think, he’s been around a long time and had a hard fight for that title. Surly a lot of drivers must be thinking, shit.
