I got a acrylic snuff bullet from TOQUE last yr and love it. Been thinking of getting a few more and a metal one as well. Do they work as well or better? Those things are handy and i LOVE EM!
The metal ones work fine. I have three of them and they do the job. The plastic ones don’t look or feel as nice but you can shave the plastic ones to get better hits. I end up using the plastic one as much if not more than my metal ones just because I can get a bigger hit with fewer turns.
I prefer the acrylic, especially if you pimp them.
Yeah. I just got a metal one… and I think Im going to need 8-10 in each nostril. I check the amount on a piece of paper several times and was quite underwhelmed.
How much more do the acrylics do?
So, update on my metal bullet. I ground it out and increased its volume a little over double, plus there is kind of a cup at the top that helps hold more, also you have to tap it hard to get it to fill. I take the valve out to check, and even with a dry toast it doesnt want to fill instantly… Im thinking about working on the hole from the vessel to the valve to see if it will transfer easier that way.
Good luck. Where there is a will there is a way.
Oh, and I like it when it works. Not bad.
I’ve got an acrylic with a glass jar. I like the action better, but it doesn’t hold enough of the goods to be useful. I may try pimping my aluminum bullet, but I’m afraid I’ll mess it up.
The other problem is even my aluminum one doesn’t even hold a full gram (I weighed it with Shot of Rum). That’s nowhere near enough to last me for a day. I usually take the bullet if I’m just going on a short outing. The acrylic I have (crappy design) holds about half of that.
I used a torx screwdriver that was slightly smaller than the original hole and opened it up to where the internal chamber and the exterior are basically the same size. I then ground a cup damn near to the rubber ring to increase the volume a tad more. When I beat it like crazy with a HDT in there, all I see is just a faint amount of snuff coming out of the inlet hole. If I had better tools I could do more.
It took quite a bit of grunting to do it, but I just worked on it while watching a tv program, and before I knew it I had her finished. Also, mine whistles, so I hit the inlet on both the bullet and the valve a bit and took it out.
What about the Posh Bullet? They say it works even when hot (it made it sound like it uses a different action/mechanism), holds 3g or something, heavy, etc. I’ve been tempted to buy one of the brass ones.
I don’t have personal experience with it but here are 5 reviews and 1 comment. They don’t seem to be all that positive. There is another one reviewed on amazon, and the person basically said it was inadequate for using cocaine, and they have to use dollar bills instead.
Or you could just get this. Its a Razorblade and snorter combo. Its a unitasker, it will probably only work for serious “snuffers”
Thank’s for the link dude! Does seem like a bummer. I was hoping the mechanism would be really good. Idk, the plastic and plastic/glass ones have a limited functionality in my experience and I’ve tried at least 3 different brands of them. I have to twist the thing and then tap it kinda hard on a tabletop upside down just to get a teensy bit of snuff in the chamber. Can’t someone invent a nice, solid, high functioning bullet?
I dont know, my metal one is the same as your plastics. If I whack it hard it will fill the chamber and its ready to go. Im not sure how Ill do that while driving…
This thread got me thinking, searching for for bullets… I found this by accident… I’m not suggesting anyone buy it, I just thought it was kinda cool, never saw anything like it.
Has anyone tried the posh bullet? By the picture, i couldn’t tell it was big enough to hold 3g…that could be my ticket.
Edit: Damnit…I just found this on snuffgear.com “The Posh Snuff Bullet can hold about .8 of a gram.”
Crap.
This is my favorite bullet, got two of them. I wrote and asked if they could make a slightly larger model but never heard back. It works great and a better than average hit without modification.

@hooked That looks pretty sweet. I’ve have to give it a try. Thanks =D
Hooked- how much does it hold right out of the box?
Was thinkin’ that a bullet with instead of a tapping and rotating mechanism, using a screw/drill bit type mech. No more turn the chamber, turn upside-down, tap, turn right side up, turn the chamber thing then sniff. Just a thought…
I’m not a fan of bullets for snuff. The dose chamber is always too small and repeated snorts just empties the bullet in a very short time.
I’m the same, rarely do I carry them unless just a short jaunt somewhere. If those are bullets, then I have a suggestion for a muzzle loader. Anyone got a exercise ball air pump lying around? My wife went and grabbed it for me to try snuff with as a joke, but upon further inspection and giving it a whirl, discovered a snuff applicator that works like no other. No kidding, load the blue port (on my model), align with the nose and a quick squeeze. You’d think it would blow your head off but it’s not like that at all. It’s not portable, by no means, but well worth the cost in the experience!

I certainly would be interested in a snuff gun.
Just purchase adhesive nasal strips and a snow shovel, now that is snuff love.
@Mr. O I just weighed out a nearly full bullet. Only .6 of a gram. Not nearly enough to last long.
Hooked, you happen to have on of these style of bullets? They claim 3 grams, but if so I am going through about 8+ grams a day… which is alarming. I fill them and pack them several times along the way untill they are very full.
I weighed mine the other day, that is exactly like that, and it held just under a gram of Shot of Rum. perhaps 3g is if you are snorting crushed granite.
Thanks dogwalla. How packed was it?
If I go to town packing it, I have to whack the crap out of it to get more than 1/4 of the bowl. And it takes about 7 snuffs for to start working well. You can really go to town packing the damned thing, because even when its full and packed you can keep screwing down the back lid to free up a little more room… but it just doesnt work well that way.
I just tap my aluminum bullet on the business end to pack it. It’s been such a pain in the ass to use the thing if I overfill the bullet with snuff that it just doesn’t seem worth it. Although, some snuffs unclump easier than others. Quit seems to turn itself into sedimentary rock, while HDT behaves well and I can jam a little more in there. My personal rule is that if it’s an easily clumping snuff I only fill it to where the threads start after it’s packed with tapping. Easier to unclump snuffs I still do the tap packing, fill the whole thing up, and let the threads do a final compaction. If I really need to bring more than that with me I either pack a snuffbox or an additional bullet.
I which my aluminum one had the offset like my acrylic one does. The alum one can leak if you leave the pointer down, and they acrylic doesn’t.
My Metal Bullet
Pros:(after modification)
-Decent hit, may take 2 per nostril
-Mess free
-No nose/mustache staining
-Convenient on the go
Cons:
-Small volume, Holds about 3 hours snuff for me
-Can be messy to fill if you dont have the right tool
-Have to be masochistic to get a good hit(beat the thing)
-Some snuffs are less cooperative than others
I bought 6 of the acrylic Toque bullets for my first order( the 6 for 5 deal )
Pros:
Portable
Discreet
Quick and easy nostril satisfaction
Survived at least 3 trips through the washer & dryer
No problems of getting brown smudge all over your face if you miss your nose with a pinch
Cons:
If you fill them with too much snuff, they will crack.
If you tighten them too much, they will crack.
If you drop them, they will crack.
Sometimes, I don’t sniff it out of the bullet properly and it lands right behind my eye - instantly blind in one eye!!
2 of 6 had an o-ring that was too big or too small.
Overall, I like them a lot and I would buy them again. I probably won’t though, because I prefer to pinch.
Obviously, metal is more durable than acrylic, and won’t crack when abused.
hooked, thanks for doing the research! The quest continues…
Frustration with the bullets led me to develop my favorite “gun”: 3 inch piece of clear aquarium tubing, heat the edges on one end until they curl about 1mm. Then slide one of your spare silicon ear buds up to the end (that you just curled). The ear bud becomes a nose plug so the snuff doesnt blow all over the place.
Tap the earbud into your snuff (works best with finer drier snuffs) once or twice. place earbud at nostril entrance. Insert other end of tube in lips.
Give a soft puff while holding your breath (so the snuff wont go to the throat).
pretty much my goto method these days.
Be careful doing this with the ‘whites’…
@Gsnuff I gotta try one of those. I can just imagine doing that in my office and my boss walking in. He’s pro-snuff, but he’d still give me the strangest looks. Hahahaha…
How to Pimp your bullet - from an earlier posting.
How to Pimp a Toque bullet. Take a thin knife and insert into the hole where you would sniff from and pare a little of the plastic, then pull out the tap and by paring away some of the plastic enlarge the snuff chamber. When you replace the tap make sure the rubber ring is bedded down properly. You can now take larger doses from the bullet.
Another really good tip that came to light on snuffhouse is, place your forefinger over the dispencing hole, turn the bullet upside down and rotate the tap a number of times. This fills the dosing hole with a perfectly acceptable portion of snuff.
I must try that, thanks Roderick!
You know, I’ve gotta give it to the coke fiends. A well rolled dollar makes a hell of a good sniffer.
Plus, it only costs a dollar.
Plus…when you unroll it you get a full refund
And your also sniffing all the dirt and shit from the countless hands of countless sickos and god only knows what they were doing when they put their dirty hands on that money your sticking up your nose
And your dope…er snuff gets stuck into the folds on the end it makes you sad.
Good for toasts and white, useless for absolutely everything else. It’s time someone made a genuine bullet for snuff because the idea is great, but we are using head shop junk. Maybe one of the retailers could help with this; the metal ones would just need the manufacturer to do a very small amount of re-tooling.
Basically the same design, but an Auger in the little neck that leads from the canister to the valve. If you use a clockwork style cog, you could theoretically make the auger controlled by the valve/cup.
Maybe we on snuff house could design a new improved bullet. If it was blow moulded like the acrylic ones we sell, I’m sure I could convince a mould maker to make it. I’m sure a double type bullet could be easily made.
My vote would be for 1.5g - 2g capacity, offset air hole (so it doesn’t leak when the valve is pointed down), a larger diameter valve to accommodate a variety of replaceable valves with different portion sizes (so we don’t have to pimp them), a bottom fill the same diameter as the alum ones or larger (the removable container ones are way harder to fill imho), and finally an extra o-ring on the other side of the portion dent to help with snuff leakage and air exposure.
That’s just me, in my perfect world. I would pay good money to live in my perfect world.
I was thinking about it, and if you used the design of a cam follower click pen, and just down scaled it to about an inch and a half, you could create a threaded attachment that attaches to the bottom of the metal bullet. The pen tip would basically be the opening from the snuff container to the valve, but it wouldnt go that deep. So, you’d turn your valve like normal, give the plunger two clicks, then turn the bullet right side up ready to go. Hopefully Ive made sense.
The spring wouldnt be near the “plunger tip”, but encased inside the threaded capsule attachment. Id have to photoshop something probably to make it come across right. Or find a hardware store with the right threaded tubing to work with my current bullet. So it would look kind of like a short mascara brush. It has the plunger stick, and then encased in the handle is the spring assembly and the cam system. On the end of the handle would just be a button. the thing threads onto the bullet, and the plunger rod goes into the bullet like a half inch or 3/4 or whatever.
Now were getting somewhere!
I’ve wondered about bullets? I re fill a Ozona orange tap tin and find it very handy. So handy I can snuff while driving. Who needs a bullet?
@Toque = The metal ones that you and others sell are a great design. They just need to be scaled up so that the dosing chamber holds four times as much. The nice thing about the metal ones is that with the addition of a few spare o rings they would last a lifetime. I would be the world’s biggest fan if bullets worked for all snuff types and gave a good hit without having to modify them yourself, and if the dosing chamber was enlarged they would work for all snuff types, not just the very dry and fine ones.
Yep, I’m with you there Snuffster. The main reason I don’t like the metal ones is poor quality control. I guess that we through away more than 10% of the last lot of metal bullets and I just can’t find better quality that is constantly up to snuff. Literally! As demand increases, and it is every day, I think we’ll see a need for a specialist dispenser and it may take the shape of something completely different from current bullets.
I always dream of a larger compartment in a bullet, the dose size is fine for me, I use scotches, (Togue) toasts and Dholokia almost exclusively… I envision something like a Mont Blanc pen sized bullet, with a clip to put in my shirt pocket…
Like a paintball gun. You just put your snuff in the hopper, throw a co2 cartridge in there, and you’re ready to go.
I got a metal one but it doesn’t have full range of motion.
One vent only opens half-way and the other doesn’t open at all.
That’s ok, I prefer the boxcar method anyway!
I have no idea what you mean. Yours has two valves? What style of bullet is this?
Has anyone restricted the size of the air hole on their bullet? My acrylic/glass one seems to have just the right resistance when I sniff, but the aluminum one flow free enough that I’m way more likely to get the snuff where I don’t want it. I’m just wondering if anyone else has found a good solution before I get all mad scientist with it.
I saw something at our local record and cd sales store in the tobacco/ hippy supplies area. they have what once was called a ‘one hitter’ for non hippy types out there it is a machined metal…brass or aluminum. tube which has been machined to have a larger end with a cavity and a air flow tube for inhaling the smoke. it would hold way, way too much snuff to whiff, however if you worked with it you could get the hang of it eventually. Personnally, i think you’d blow out your sinus cavity with too much. but the braver of you out there might give it a try, about 3 bucks best guess… what i have found works very well is a Q tip…it only picks up a small quantity and is quite hygenic during the cold and flu season too.
I used to use a one hitter as a snorter until I found that a dollar bill works way better. The one thing I do like about the one hitter is that you can jam it into your snuff box and pull out a portion of snuff. The size of the portion will depend on your snuff box, but mine usually gives me a nice does to sniff on for a little while. And, as you said, it’s a very hygenic way of getting snuff out of the box during flu season.
Although not a bullet in the classic sense of the term, I like the Poscl Gletscher Prise Automatik Box. I use it daily. A fine example of German engineering.
How about a bullet that holds about 1.5 - 2 oz .Just drill a vary small hole in dose tube just above push button metering valve. Air tight and water proof.
Some gear i have and find useful to consume snuff. All from a german supplier. In case, i can help to get them. Enjoy!
@Prismaster - tell me about the last one…Do you load the dose and sniff like a bullet?
yeah, i guess i cannot explain it proberly in english, but the container holds the snuff, you can move it and it fills another chamber from which you sniff.
kurtsnose, is that from a chemistry supply company or something?
@Prismaster that explained it perfectly. Thanks!
Its a gun powder flask for black powder . Or in my case brown powder. Holds a 25g tin of S.G. Elmo’s .
Holy cow…this thing could be insanely awesome.
Good idea @kurtsnose !
kurtsnose- thank’s, kind of looks like you could hang it on one of them I.V. bag holder deals and set it next to your favorite chair.
Once you get the trick of holding a finger over the dispensing tube and holding the valve in at the same time with one hand you can get one heck of a dose even while driveing . Does not work with all snuffs . Next project is to make a leather holster to hold them . Care should be taken when driling the hole .
rather neat!
@Prismaster how well does the Snuffmaster work. I like the idea but it is quite expensive.
You could always wear a bandolier loaded with snuff bullets.
That’s an awesomely bad idea. A standard ninja/Batman style utility belt would be better. Then you can carry a variety of bullets and tins.
Bandolier Yes ! I could do away with my backpacks .
here are the well-machined bullets I use. They’re light aluminum and work well:
@theratroom work wells imho. good material and all. works flawless. i like it. ^^
@Prismaster thanks. I think I will have to order myself one.
I just got the Mendo Mulcher snuff bullet that people have been posting about today in the mail. It’s quite nice and works pretty good.
I got two of this one on monday:
My wife took one of them and I the other. In hers the “screw” thing is a bit loose and leaks some snuff but in mine it works perfectly. The hit you get is quit generous.
It is now my favorite way of taking snuff.
I can’t recommend the snuffstore though. It took them 8 days to even send out the order, and then only after reminding them of the order.
My best bullet is one I got off ebay, it’s made of machined aluminum and made in the U.S.A., works better than the Posh bullet and holds a lot more snuff.
@Prismaster - tell me about the last one…Do you load the dose and sniff like a bullet?
If you are still interested how it works, please find links below. https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player\\_embedded&v=HJwSU8wGdsw http://www.vidup.de/v/QRtlp/ http://www.vidup.de/v/r9hJz/
@Prismaster how well does the Snuffmaster work. I like the idea but it is quite expensive.
it works well. The price depends on the high quality. it is made of anodized aluminium. Currently there is s summer special with lower price
I picked up my acrylic/glass bullet from a head shop in flagstaff, az for 1.99 with my only complaints being the poor tooling of the holes loading and air intake. super simple fix grabbed drill bit and with a light hand twist reemed all orifices. now it’s a power hitter loads, without so much as flick. Get quite a large hit outta it with a light tap. so bang for buck i love it and multiple vile sizes available for it also in head shops.
Been looking for one of them blizzard 2’s can’t find any here in the U.S. bummer we don’t have anything fun for snuff over here. lucky to even find place to buy snuff. boring
I gotta say, I admire the persistence of everyone on this thread. When I first got into snuff, I bought a few bullets and immediately decided that I can’t get no satisfaction from them. I guess the theory is okay, but until it works in practice, it doesn’t work in practice.
Just got another acrylic bullet from Mr. Snuff and it is larger than the one from Toque I’ve been using and seems to work well. I must be very discreet at work and one just can’t hit the men’s room every 10 minutes. Have tinkered with my aluminum one and got it to at least work OK with the more dry snuffs. I second the notion that “someone” design a better, reasonably sized bullet. I’d be willing to pay $50 for one that worked with all snuffs and held, oh, a gram and a half at least (must still be of pocketable size).
I just got two aluminum bullets in the mail today that I ordered from ebay. They seem well made and hold close to a gram of snuff. One of them I have tried and it works ok but the other one has loose metal shavings stuck around the hole that the snuff passes through to fill the part that you sniff out of! I am going to have to fix that before I use it obviously or I will be snuffing metal shavings which is not good.
I have a bunch of various bullets, I bought them during my first months of snuffing (along with other fancy snuff-related stuff). The wooden and plastic snuff boxes are worth the money, but the bullets are crap. Initially I forced myself to use them, but in a short time I found that simple things are always the better (boxcar and pinching for me).
but in a short time I found that simple things are always the better (boxcar and pinching for me).
I’m thinking your right about that, I always have to sniff too hard and the snuff goes right to my throat when using these recently acquired bullets.
I’m thinking your right about that, I always have to sniff too hard and the snuff goes right to my throat when using these recently acquired bullets.
And this is just one factor. Bullets can hold very small amount of snuff (far less than my average daily consume). The dispenser mechanism is usually unreliable and also gives a very small portion - but I like to take large doses. The filling is also a pain…
