I tried to resurrect an old thread on this topic without success.

Doing a cleanout of my apartment, I found 2 large smashboxes of Mentholin (unopened.)

The previous thread said that it contains “Milk sugar”…

Does anybody know if this would have an adverse affect on a diabetic?

I’m thinking of giving one to a friend, but he is having severe control problems with his diabetes at the moment.

Milk sugar as in lactose? Hmm? Sugar is sugar so ha may want to avoid it even in such small amounts?

I just hit Google for a relation between milk sugar and diabetes.  Seems that some doctors think that milk (due to the milk sugar) is bad for diabetics…I don’t think that I would chance it if he is having a hard time keeping his diabetes in check.

@howdydave and Pennanngalan: I have no data available, but better safe than sorry I would say.

frankly I doubt it would be a problem as it’s not eaten and all that. The thing is if I’am wrong and it is a problem it could be a major problem like a kill him level problem. It just isn’t worth the risk expecialy with the control problems. It may effect blood sugar if eaten because the digestive system breaks it down into sugars. Probably wouldn’t happen in the nose but if it does and sugar can be absorbed through the nasal membrane then it could cause real harm. Now I’am wondering can sugar be absorbed through the nose?
