I’ve been reading up on menthol and it appears that over 75% of menthol used in commercial products (I’m assuming snuff falls into this category), is synthetic menthol.  I’ve never tried a mentholated snuff and the reason is due to my concern that it comes from peppermint, which is known to lower T levels; I think if it’s from mint, it doesn’t do this though, and I enjoy mint tea on a rare occasion

Bottom line, I wonder if a synthetic menthol would bypass these concerns.  Even better would be knowing whether snuff manufacturers ever use plant-derived menthol, the natural kind in their blends

Thanks
