im going to be switching to menthol snuffs over the course of the next few months. i have radford and gletcherprise in my carth and im hoping that in the twelve oack of 25g tins i will get more menthols. if i make methol the new primary snuff can or will it kill my sense of smell when i use it all day? and what do you all suggest. im looking for a menthol thats not overly powerful and is well balanced with other scents like camphor or eucalyptus. also whats your favorite menthol snuff?

If you want a more complex menthol that isn’t too strong in the menthol department then McChrystals O&G is hard to beat.

many of the old timers here used O&G exclusively for years until Internet snuff shops arrived.

For a mild menthol you can’t go wrong with McChrystals O&G,nicely balanced snuff .

If you are in the mood for a bit more of menthol and like the Poschl flour I wholeheartedly recommend Gawith - Apricot.

ive got radford and gletcherprise comming in. i ordered the 12 25gram variety pack from wilsons so im hoping ill get some more menthols in that boxs. i am still unsure whether its harmful to your nose if using a strong menthol all day

Hedges L260 is another great English menthol; I can also vouch for McChrystals JIP.
For some nice Indian menthols you might check out Swaastik Chaap–it’s bone dry and very fine, and the only notes are tobacco and menthol–and Paanch Photo Himalaya Nasawar, which is moist and has an intoxicating bouquet which includes a prominent menthol note.

6 Photo black snuff are great the menthol won’t clog you up like some snuff do. I was hesitant at first to try Indian snuff but I am glad I did. I carry one daily and they are my night cap snuff.

i use Poscho Gletscher Prise like a all day snuff. this snuff is light menthol a nd got interesting smell of columbian oil

I went through a month of taking nothing but gletcher prise. About 5g a day. Nothing happened to my sense of smell. Its a wonderful menthol snuff.

I’ve been ‘mentholing’ all day as I’ve been out xmas shopping in the cold and rain, and it seemed a good choice for the weather conditions. Now back home I’ve just treated myself to two huge hits of rustica. Bam!

Don’t know which is the stronger and I’m unlikely to find out first-hand as I’ve heard W.E., Dholakia White etc are an ordeal to administer, whereas I find rustica (Toques) very easy to take. As a qutting smoker (had one cig yesterday!!) I gotta have a good dose of rustica upon waking, I find it crushes the nicotine pangs stone dead, leaving the rest of the day a breeze with regular top ups of ‘lesser’, more enjoyable snuffs. It’s not unpleasant to take but it’s not as nice as any of the other snuffs I’ve got, and I find the taste lasts for hours. No, it’s a weapon reserved for guaranteed annihilation of the nicotine monster for me and at this moment wouldn’t be without it. A good menthol removes the lingering taste when it outstays its welcome!
