Currently NONE of my tins are mentholated… jaxons cherry menthol is SUPPOSED to have menthol, but its not enough for me. Enough for me would be gawith apricot, ozona president, gletscher. Theyre good, refreshing, easy to take and just generally wonderful. Can any snuff compare to them?the menthol hit is a must, moisture is a must, coarseness is a must.
Try a little Red Bull, a good kick or Menthol , or Hedges L260 sounds like a strong hit
Hedges L260 is just awesome. My only complaint is that they only sell it in 20g tins. I’d buy a kilo if they sold it in bulk.
For moisture, coarseness,and menthol I use Poschl’s Packard’s Club, Lowen-prise, Cherry, or Raspberry Or Bernard’s Zwiefacher maybe. I find Packard’s Club too like Old Spice aftershave though.
Yeah, I believe poschl is all I can ever enjoy. Ive had a bunch of snuffs lately, but its just not me, ya know? I need to feel poschlated.
Whats a good menthol?
With the exception of the light, subtle touch of some Indian snuffs and Dean Swift’s Camelopard, any one that’s still in the tin and nowhere near my nose. :))
The best pure menthol snuff I have had is Hedges. The menthol/camphor is higher than most but somehow a lovely biscuity tobacco base still makes itself apparent.
@HR_pufnsnuff heh, good one and good advice. ill be going on mrsnuff thinking “this is unopened, menthol, and nowhere bear pufnsnuffs nose., this must be the one he was talking about”. If I pick a bad one youre at fault :)>-
McChyrisals??? O & G or Camphor should fit the bill here I would have thought. Throw in the violet if you like a floral. My go to methol is Hedges personally, or you could go up-market with Abraxas Dragun Menthol; the actual menthol isn’t too strong but its scent profile is amazing and it’s punchy! - Good luck 
Red Bull is my favorite solid plain menthol. Hedges and WoS Dynamite are also great ones in this category. Really there are probably a couple dozen solid menthol snuffs available and that is not counting the Indian types. Happy hunting.
@MisterPaul, I hhaven’t tried the Dragun Menthol, but Firedrac is the menthol for people who thought they didn’t like menthol, in my opinion.
Menthol always tastes like… well… menthol… to me.
my fave may always be Toque menthol, in my opinion very strong but not to the point of over-powering the tobacco

How about McChrystal’s JIP. It’s fine with a medium moisture. But I like it.
well as i have been a bit of a mentholhead, hedges, JH wilsons medicated, mcchrystals O&G and SG zip were faves (last two mild, zip is mainly just camphor i think), but WoS were always my absolute top menthols. i usually had sm500 on me.

have to go with hedges . I also like lowenprise … I got the newish wilsons mentholated snuff seems to be the same colo(u)r and smell as the hedges cheaper also but I have yet to try it yet
6 Photo 666! The most intense menthol( and other milder aromas) I’ve run across. It had me reeling across the floor in a snuff-induced psychosis!!! I only use it about once every couple weeks just to make sure my brain still reacts in the original manner, and it does every time.
6 photo coffee kick,Poshl grado cafe ,Fubar fugazi menthol, Three good menthols with a coffee flavor. I don’t crave over the top menthols I have some. Wos Dynamite, WoS Sm500, HedgesL260, 6 Photo 666. My favorite for overall effectiveness is SA Dr Rumney’s in the 5g smashbox; When you need to be unstuffed.
