This is an interesting lightly mentholated snuff from Samuel Gawith. I bought one of the old 10g tins that My Smoking Shop is selling off cheaply. Nowadays it comes in a 10g plastic dispenser or 250g/500g bulk drums. At least the snuff was still in good condition though I did need to rehydrate it a little. Menthol Brown is as brown as might be expected, roughly the colour of Samuel Gawith’s Kendal Brown. The grind is similar, fairly coarse and I expect that when fresh it is quite moist as well. The snuff is not strongly mentholated, allowing the base tobacco to be enjoyed to the full. I do enjoy Kendal Brown so it is no surprise that I enjoyed Menthol Brown as well.
