Members from Old Board that Haven't Visited New Board?

Web statistic are kind of cool  And I was looking at the user-list on the message board.

3134 total members are listed on the message board.  This appears to include everyone from the old and new incarnations of the board.

644 of these members have visited the message board since the new snuffhouse.com board became active. 2490 have not visited the new board.

219 of these members visited the message board during the month of October, which is fairly nice traffic.

Being new in the loop, I was curious if there’s been any direct contact with those 2490 that haven’t been to the new board?  An email sent directly to them or something like that?  And if not, would there be an interest in doing that?

If you have an easy way of sending an email to the 2490 then that could be a good plan. What does anyone else think?

Mail Chimp.  I could rip the emails into a Mail Chimp free account, and send them an email.  Or there is a Vanilla plug-in that integrates (connects) our forum to Mail Chimp.  Same result, I just haven’t tested the plug-in to see if it works.  So, the capability is there.  It would just take a little work.

But, like you, I’d like to know what everyone thinks.

Maybe there’s a reason not to do it that we’re not aware of?

If we do send an email, we can all work on the text of it together.  Write a draft, and refine it to a perfectly enticing, welcoming, “come back to the new board” email.
