Medicinal Snuff

D

So having read numerous places about tobacco being medicinal for wounds, well I had a mosquito bite in my boot that wouldn’t quit. So a lick of the finger, dabbed it in the toque lime toast, and rubbed on said spot. Itching has stopped. WOo hooo. Ken

B

nicotine is an effective anti inflammatory among other things.

B

stops minor bleeding too. Though that burns like a witch (living with the puritians that is).

S

Never used it for mosquitos but I can attest that it helps with bee and wasp stings when applied topically.

D

I try to avoid bees and wasps due to allergy issues. TO all snuff vendors, could you make your next shipment to me have a label that says “Topical Powder”. Ken

C

Or Itch Powder or Bee Sting Remedy.

D

As long as the label does not say Tobacco on it. I think Miracle Powder would be most apropos no matter its usage. I know in my case it acts as a homicide preventing agent. Ken

J

I have snuffed out a few colds but the one I have now did not seem to respond to the large amount of packard’s club that I put up my nose.

D

Try a scotch, the only thing I find that reliably busts up sinus congestion from my collection is a good scotch. Ken

S

Rooster killed my cold last year. I bet Dholakia White would do it too, that stuff should kill anything.

D

I know RR mills does a good job as a sinus roto router. American Peach does a decent job as well. I need to get some rooster but I am yet to see it locally (and there are lots of the scotches local here in the southeastern states. Ken

N

I use Navy Plain or WOS Gold Label, sometimes Polar Prise, to clear sinuses.

S

When I or someone needs a cure for some ailment, headache or sinusitis I put a piece of tobacco to dry in the sun, mix some medicinal plants and grind in very fine powder until turn it a snuff.

M

Never tried snuff for a cold yet but I would bet Superior would open the sinus

C

The clove in Toque’s Christmas Pudding worked for my cold a few weeks ago - it disappeared after only 1 day.

M

I can see a new product called “Snuff Out”

M

Why am I thinking “Windex” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EHcT-MBs1J8

A

Personally speaking, I find it an excellent medicine for insanity.

B

I use it to prevent illness. As for windex it stops STREAKING

D

If I’m congested I sind the finest, driest snuff I can and it really clears things out. I thought menthols would do it, but they never helped me a bit. HDT, Bruton, and Quit have done more for colds than DayQuil has. Who knew?

M

With so many people around me with colds, I am really hoping that snuff keeps it away from me

A

I didn’t buy into the theory that it helped prevent colds but, ingrained sceptic that I am, I have to admit I just don’t get them anymore - and I was one of those people that get them by looking at someone with a cold. Since I moved to full time snuffing and my habit crept up to a snuff-box full a day I have not had a single snuffle.

T

I personally think all snuffs , or at least most snuffs are medicinal, as long as I’m snuffing regular I don’t catch colds, it’s only when I slack off that I catch a cold. G’Day gents.
