medicated no99 tins

O

Well after a long time I master the art of opening the vacume tins and also not spilling a ton in the process, so what do they do ? They change the bloody Tin !!! All that hard work buying tin after tin (of course just to master the art of opening them) well I also HAD to use it all as that would be a waste right ?! Well now I have to start all over again learning how not to spill a ton opening the new tins …sigh… So has anyone also noticed the taste has also changed a bit in the new tins ??? Almost a chocolate undertone ??? I did compair the two and it is slightly different??? maybe its fresher but does the old vacume tins not keep it better ??

E

They got rid of the vacuum tins? I thought it was only the nice little blue tins that were being replaced. I assume it’s cost-driven. I agree, though, for all the difficulties they pose(d), the vacuum tins seem to keep the snuff pretty much indefinitely. What are the new tins like?

O

They are like the wos tins il take a pic of one quite nice but not as good

The new tins

E

Lordy, what a shame! And just when WoS (I think) has put a menthol in a vacuum tin.

B

they traded tins

B

Add Hedges 260 to that list which is no longer vac sealed and in the same dryout tins.

S

what a shame. the vaccum time are excellent.

P

Just goes to prove that 300 year old companies don’t give two squats about what the customer wants, or even do things that make sense. Thank goodness Toque/Fubar are actually improving their tins.

S

Its Imperial Tobacco’s fault as they now own and make J&H Wilsons and clearly don’t give a hoot about snuff and are more focused on smokeable tobacco.

B

not only that but a company that large makes choices in a really schizophrenic way. They have a group crunch numbers and the same people making the snuff have no choice either (think about that a bit)

S

Medicated no.66 by 6 photo is now available in vacuum sealed tins. We modeled it after Wilsons tins!

S

I hope you don’t overfill them like the WoS tins!

B

who cares if they over fill. That’s just means you need more snuff boxes.

B

@sixphoto that’s a really smart move and will be appreciated by consumers. Watch J&H Wilsons sales drop dramatically now they are using non-vac tins. They will regret it.

P

I hope you don’t overfill them like the WoS tins!

Are you kidding? Fill them w/split atoms! The more snuff the better.
