McChrystal's does not stop producing snuff

Some rumours said, that McChrystal’s would stop producing snuff. According to a representative, this is not true. McChrystal’s is still and will keep on producing snuff.

I wrote an e-mail to info@mcchrystals.co.uk, which came back as undeliverable. After that, I contacted the guys from Breeze (mcchrystals.com), who are selling to Switzerland, Germany and some other countries. They wrote back very quick, that there is no stop in production and that the rumours are just wrong.

It seems as if McChrystals are down the drain??

What makes you say that Pieter?

Rumours about it since 2006

It would be a great loss to be without McChrystals, Hopfen, Mild Lemon, S’nuff, O&G, Those are heavy hitters, must try/have for a bunch of us. The loss of Hopfen alone would be staggering, there is simply nothing like it, period. O&G? don’t even go there. Thoroughly depressing thought that! These are well crafted snuffs with quite a following. I would think that anyone who has not tried them is missing out. I know that a lot of folks do not care for S’nuff, but there is no other SP in my collection to replace it, it is super bergamot. And a hit from a warm can of Hopfen Schupf fresh out of the jeans pocket in August was one of the best hits I ever had, a lasting memory for me to this day. I made damn sure I stocked these up before PACT, no way I was going to be without. BTW, the bulk tubs seal great and last and last.

Pieter, you know something we dont? If so, please share. Would hate for the snuff community to loose McChrystals. They are only 20 minutes away from where I live, but we all know whats going on with the UK economy right now.

This rumour is 5 years old, so it must be true. Tobacco will be banned soon by ZOG, NWO, UN and EEC, inter nets told so.

I think Pieter must have got bored recently and decided to revive some old threads!

@AllanH I heard the same rumors on those inter nets

@Whalen, you just added a bunch of stuff to my snuff wish list! Thanks for that, always good to hear something I want to try. For me, I could not live without McChystal’s Clove; I’d just throw in the towel at that point. It’s my only everyday snuff, and I mean Every Day. I may buy another 200g tub next order just to feel good about having it. Lovely stuff.

@ddavelarsen- Well you like the one McC I do not, Clove. But there are plenty of people who love it too! Mc S’nuff is not universally loved, or Mild lemon, but they are well crafted. I always suggest getting a 5 gram tin if available for sampling. If you love Clove you will defiantly be with a 200 gram tub. They are cute and cuddly at the same time. All that bulk goodness. One of the greatest discoveries for me is just how much better bulk snuff is, a whole nother dimension, and it stays that way for a real long time.

That’s sure the truth, there is no comparison between bulk snuff and tin snuff. I know for a fact that I’m going to pursue all my regulars in bulk.

I put S’Nuff, Hopfen and Mild Lemon on my wishlist and sourced them all in bulk, so I guess I know what my next order is gonna be!

@ddavelarsen- I was trying to point out that if you had not tried them you should start small and make sure you have similar tastes, not many people like the same snuff, I have several bulk snuffs that I had a change of heart about. One McChrystals I cannot tolerate is O&G, I mean it is a drop dead wonderful snuff which just screws my whole head up with menthol rebound, I absolutely love the flavor, totally frustrating situation. I guess I will have to trade it.

@whalen: I am in total agreement re OnG. It was my daily for about 18 months then the rebound kicked in. Now it is just a very occasional treat when I can’t resist…“come heeeere my pretty” as I gently caress the lid off. But she bites that’s for sure. S’nuff…switched to it after OnG decided it wasn’t my friend any more. Did not like it when I first tried it (a year previously), but I must admit second time around I loved it at first (ok second) sniff and it has been a regular ever since. Hops…I so agree. Hops is my only snuff when I go for a jar or two. The beer accentuates the snuff and the snuff accentuates the beer. They are in a symbiotic relationship. Hops on its own of course has the bitter floral nose to it that is ok but not particularly enchanting. But paired with a good micro-brew bitter or even better hand-pulled hoppy ale…it is heaven on earth. Dave

It would be a total bummer to have a bulk snuff you couldn’t use. Good thing for trades I guess. I got a little excited about a bulk order, I probably will apply a bit of discretion when I place my next order and get smaller amts. I get excited easily when it comes to new snuff to try. I’m totally looking forward to the Hopfen!

@mr.snuff- I so much want some O&G, but I keep inflicting week long bouts of congestion on myself! I was so so about S’nuff too, now I love it and it is what I give to people to sample, almost everyone goes Hmm Earl Gray. It is the Bulk that got me hooked, the small tins are too small to keep it properly for long. Hops! Deserves an award! It has a loyal following in my circle of snuff friends. Always have it around. They are home brewers and just went nuts for it. It has a lot more than Hops going on there. Nice thing about snuff is that chance for rediscovery, I find my collection intimidating, but I work hard at keeping it in great condition, and have really enjoyed exploring the range available. I believe Bulk opened my eyes to what the true nature of a snuff could be, but a properly cared for tin can be just as good. I think snuff in general has benefited from the renewed interest keeping stock moving. I noticed that all of the scotches at my local grocer had the new warning labels on them, and I honestly believe they restocked with fresh product. The three that I tried were remarkable. I know we all joke that there is just one huge pile of 40 year old bulk at the warehouse, but I am not so sure about that theory! The small cans are so cheap, $2.59 in West Virginia. Unfortunately no Rooster or Three Thistles, the Superior was great.

I couldn’t imagine life without McChrystals. It would be horrid. If I couldn’t get Hopfen I would have a insta-stroke from panic. I love McC’s bulk tubs. Those things keep the snuff good for so long I the right variety could outlive me! I went nuts buying bulk tubs from Nic Rush Pre-PACT. I have one whole cupboard shelf stacked with solely white McC’s tubs in Highland Ice, Hopfen, S’nuff, Violet, Raspberry and O&G. That’s my 2012 apocalypse snuff stash to keep me in snuff until the brain eating five legged Alien Overlords leave with their master and High Commander who we now know as Justin Beiber. I just know that kid is alien or made in a test tube or just strolled right up from hell through a volcano
