I love McChrystal’s Clove Snuff. It’s become one of my favorites. Do any of you know what the story is with it? I got it from snuffshop.com, but it came in another McChrystal’s container with the label whited out and clove written over it. I can’t find it for sale at any other online store. It just seems a little weird.

Yes, we have the same situation in SA with hybrid bicycles. I asked every importer and the standard answer is: “There is no demand for that kind of bike”. Why?? Because nobody stock them!!! Bull dust!!!

It’s like these established companies don’t even want to compete in the marketplace. They’ve consigned themselves to waiting around to die instead of trying to generate new customers. Roderick? Clove Snuff?

Also Dean Swift SP is a pretty good clove snuff. And wilsons used to sell directly but I no longer see the order form on their site.

Actualy bigblue that is the kind of stuff companies spend lots of money on researching. When you have an older established company it’s much easier to get rutted and feel less likely to inovate. Where as toque and dholakia have to inovate. Though to be honest I wonder if the memebers of the wilson family use snuff or if it’s just the family company. I wouldn’t honestly be suprised either way. Dean swift clove yuck. I don’t mind the scent in fact I love the scent but that snuff really disagrees with me terribly. It burns something fierce and not in a way that feels proper. It also always makes my nose bleed which is something snuff should never do. The strange thing is it seems like everyone I know either gets tortured by the Swift SP or loves it and experiences none of the negative side effects.

Its funny how everyones nose is different. Like how some can suck down Wilsons Raspberry, but for me its the only snuff that makes me sneeze, & sneeze uncontrollably every single time.

Yeah all snuffs make me sneeze the Dean Sp makes me sneeze from the bottom of my feet and if you’ve never done that it really hurts.

THe Dean SP is the only Dean Swift that I am a repeat customer of. Deans Own isn’t that bad either.

It seems that every clove snuff other than McChrystal’s has other scents as well, usually SP variants, which is not necessarily bad, but not the same.

I asked him if he had just never tried to market it in England and his response was that he wished it were true. I don’t know if he meant that he had and nobody wanted it or if he just knew (ESP) that they wouldn’t. Was it ever available in England?

Did anyone of tried DHOLAKIA Manjul yet? If you like cloves, this is the snuff to use. But, BEWARE ! It will blow your brains out of you take to much, especially in the beginning. One of my firm favourites.

I’ll have to try it sometime. I tried Sparrow but it is too dry and fine for my taste.

He ended up sending me 4 complimentary 25g tins instead. How nice is that? McChrystal’s is now as high on my list as Toque for customer satisfaction.

McChrystals Clove Snuff Ok, got some good news on this and it will shortly be available on Snuff Store. Apparently it was made initially for the US market; although hasn’t been made for a while, so I don’t know the ‘age’ of whatever is currently out there. Labels are being printed for the tins and it will be around a couple of weeks before we get it in stock. It will be in 3.5g tins like raspberry and apricot etc. Ta-Ta

Definatly they make me feel like I’am buying a sample. Like the mini super tiny toothpaste tubes that say trial or travel size depending on the brand.

I emailed Ian at McChrystals about this snuff and he is sending me some samples. Great customer service and hopefully a great snuff, I haven’t received it yet. I’ll post a review once I have tried this gorgeous sounding snuff. Stefan

I will be trying this. McChrystals’ is by far my choice snuff, and the taste of cloves blows me away. I smoke Djarum Black’s on a constant basis, and would love to get a snuff with that amazing taste. Anyone else smoke Black’s, or any other Djarum product? The tip of the paper (on the filter) is coated with sugar, and the taste is just out of this world. ~Snuffy

You are damn right!They are amazing. Expensive though. I live close to Delaware, which has low taxes on cigs (comparatively), so I get them for around $45 a carton. How much are they your way? ~Snuffy

I might just do that, they sound cool - I’m actually not that clear what a clove smells like!

Whenever I make molassas cookies, I always add a few whole cloves to each cookie. I cannot wait until my clove snuff arrives. If it tastes like cloves, I’ll be in heaven.

I got my tin of McChrystal’s clove yesterday. This stuff has replaced Hopfen Schnupf as my favorite. I’m working through the 3.5g tin pretty quick. Does anyone know where I can get it in larger quantities? It would be great to get 1/2-1 pound, but I would be happy with just getting larger tins.

I opened up my tin of this Clove yesterday, and the flavor was good… but it has seemed to give me a bad nose congestion. I am still suffering today, and I don’t think I’ll be able to snuff all day till this clears out. I have been avoiding memthols, and been doing well with the Wilsons non-menthols and JH Wilson SP No. 1, but then I did a little of this Clove, and ugh… stopped up, running nose, and still the next day… this may be one I can’t use. Is leman still here? I haven’t noticed his posts in a while.
