McChrystal's O&G

I bought a LARGE tin of O&G today for R34.00. It must be at least 25g, maybe even more. It’s really cheap if I compare with what I pay for snuff from the UK and the US. In pounds it is £2.35 and in dollars $3.40. How does that compare with the prices that members pay in the UK and US for O&G? And, of course, I paid no postage and handling seeing that my wife had to go to the Mall!!! It seems to me that the retail price of O&G is lower in SA than in the country where it is produced?

That’s a great deal. What I’d have to pay is what the US vendors sell it for. I haven’t checked as I have some already, and a few other menthols I like alot. O&G is a great snuff. Kinda reminds me of Glescherprise.

I pay 6 CHF for 8,75g thats 3,5 GBP or 5 USD. No surprise I don´t buy much snuff locally. :frowning: But I find the O&G overrated anyway.

A 21g tin of O&G is about $5.60, so you got a heck of a deal!

I bought a 21g tin of O&G today for £3.20, you got a good deal there Pieter. Stefan

I have to say I am always pleasantly surprised at how cheap snuff is compared to other tobacco products. When you think how long $10 worth of any snuff lasts compared to a $10 cigar or $10 worth of cigarettes, or even $10 worth of dip, snuff trumps them all. Plus of course you are getting a high quality tobacco with high quality ingredients unlike many other tobacco products. At twice the price all the snuffs I like would still be a great deal. Just my humble opinion. Dave

I agree, Mr. Snuff. My dip habit was costing about $30 a week. I spend about that much a month in snuff. However, I did just hear that Copenhagen is dropping their prices…

You guys snuffing are running Cope out of business!

@ Mr. Snuff: Can one even buy a GOOD cigar for $10 ?

Yes but only if you live in Honduras or Cuba

I was buying cubans in Honduras for $5 during a trip there. I was also able to buy 50 pack bundles of handmades for about $5. Man I miss that place.

Z_2K, I buy Havanas by the fist full and then grind then into snuff!!! I’ve made some nice snuff from a couple of Griffins and I have some Davidoffs which will be next. The cigars are slightly damaged and therefor the tobacconist sells it to me at a ridiculous price. I paid R34.00 for a large tin of O&G and bought 9 large Havanas at the same shop for R35.00!! The cigars are still 100% smokeable but, I don’t smoke anymore!!! So in stead of putting it between my lips, I stuff it up my nose.

Partagas Black Labels sell for about $6 and they are quite nice. I don’t know a lot about cigars, so they might not be thought to be good, but I like them.

i don’t know diddly shit about em either but i had a “havanna” on my senior trip and it was one of the best things i’ve ever smoked i thin i paid 5 dollars for it.

Me too. I forgot I became an expert from the vids.

I was an expert at smoking cigars! Is it like riding a bike?

@ juxta no it’s nothing like riding a bike your legs don’t get tired and no need to wear a helemet.

lol

O and G replaces my stash of Crumbs of Comfort. It is far superior IMHO
