Hi can anyone advise me of snuff has maoi or is it mao inhibitors in it?? I went on a electronic cig month to see what its all about but right now I’m craving like crazy why?? I dont understand fully but people keep on about mao and other things?? So what does snuff provide that electronic cigs dont?? I’m very confused as I came from roll up tobacco so.dont they hold less chemicals or am I kidding myself?? Thanks everyone
E-cigs have only nicotine, no other alkaloids. Only tobacco products have maoi’s and and such that your brain is craving.
How are maoi’s addictive though? I mean they have to hold just as much if not more of am addiction than nicotine??
Maoi s are not addictive, although they possibly have a psychological effect. What you are missing, I think, is the burning sugars. Tobacco has a sugar content that varies depending on leaf variety, but it’s always there. That is partly why sugar free candy was so ineffective helping cold turkey quitters. The other possibility is you aren’t getting enough nicotine from your e-cig.
I will sell you some electronic snuff. It is invisible and you know you done some with it’s empty effect, no drip no burn and never clogs or make your nose run. A one time purchase of $19.95 and come with 0 amp charger also invisible . Act now and I will include free refills postage free.
Oooo. Now thats sounds like a bargain! So are you maybe suggesting ecigs are well just that a placebo effect product? Oh while I’m at it @basement_shaman me and the wife owe you a massive thanks! She is pregnant and had 4 months of uti infections and antibiotics didn’t work but using what you said bicarb and water and mint and garlic she is having her first pain free week!!! Wow thank you so so.much from us both
Sugars, ok I get that but surely maoi is more than physiologicaly addictive? From what I have read last night it seems their is a withdraw from them alone which is just as much if not more than nicotine? I agree on some of it is physiological but so is nicotine as well. Placebo tests showed snuff to be more effective than most other products to aid stopping smoking also snuss then came ecigs followed by the usual nrt. I came to the realisation that ecigs are just like nicotine spray or gum which shows its the hand to mouth and sensation of throat hit and smoke or vapour that gives it the edge over the gum, or other products… I.found out their is now maoi juice you can add to ecig juce which I see could be a big big mistake as can cause panic attacks etc if used wrongly… I don’t know but it seems to me to.be more than just psychological …?
I have never enjoyed an ecig. I know there are ones out there that can be ramped up with nic, but the normal ones had me going into withdrawal shortly. With the sensation fixation taken care of, I see how you would accidentally quit if you thought you were getting enough nic.
A really misunderstood chemical. Available by prescription for types of depression and anxiety disorders that are unresponsive to the usual medications. Generally under prescribed because of misunderstandings about interactions with other chemicals. If (a big IF) you have the disorders it is effective in treating and you stop you will notice a difference. In that sense they are addictive and can be a feel good chemical
Addiction itself is neither here nor there, it’s what the addiction does to you that counts. Snuff, it appears, from the relatively limited research done to date, is massively less harmful than smoked tobacco. That is also backed up by the absence of tobacco related illness cases and, to date, not a single suit filed against any of the UK producers; which given that Wilson’s have been in business since the 1700’s says a lot. The hard facts about snuff’s action on the body are sparse, but when I for one reason or another have to go without snuff for a period the ‘withdrawal’ is a completely different animal to what I experienced when attempting to quit cigarettes in the past by cold turkey and will power. That was an almost desperate urge that only a cigarette could kill, with snuff it’s a much milder feeling - more a case of missing something pleasant than that screaming urge for a smoke. I’m not scientist enough to know what’s going on with all that, I just know snuff is no problem for me. If MAOIs play a part in snuff addiction they are very gentle in their action, IMO. With cigarette smoke there is something very much darker.
