Late chime in but I just found this thread- The greenish color comes from additives. The tape seal reads: " TABAC 33% TEXTURE 67%" which leads one to translate it to 33% tobacco and 67% other stuff. When baking a prill you can feel what I think are bits of twigs- perhaps tobacco stems and the like. I just received a can of this very snus from Mr. Snuff, having already sampled the black can which I found good enough to buy again. For me its a departure from snuff and my occasional General portions. As for nicotine content, perhaps its hit and miss but I don’t find it that strong, though I am a regular user of snuff so my tolerance may be a bit high.

It is truly disgusting stuff, out of all the maklas this has to be hands down the worse. The menthol one is quite nice though, well worth a try.

The convenient way I have found to handle this stuff is to pack it into shape and wrap it in a light weight cigarette paper - no mess, much less disgusting and the hit is the same. I dunno if everybody else does this already but I hate fishing out loose snus from my gums and teeth and the thin paper wrap solved the problem.

@basement_shamen thanks for the tip - I have tried some portioned varieties but didn’t know it was possible to buy empty bags - happy days! Would be great if Makla caught on and started producing portioned bags.

Trust me- the first time I open a container of this stuff I was taken aback. I had no idea what I had ordered and had no intention of doing anything with the stuff, other than perhaps seal a crack in the pavement— that was until I did some research and figured I would give it a shot. Just as I am open to trying new snuffs, I figured I should give this “snus” a try. First few times I was iffy about packing who knows what into my upper lip, but I found it interesting enough to finish the container and as already noted- order it again. As for taking it- I just roll a small portion and pack it up there. I find little breaks free and when its time I simply pass it out of my mouth to a napkin for disposal. A quick swish of whatever beverage I have and its all gone.

from memory when i tried a different variety of makla it would stay in the lip like clay for hours without sliding, unlike snus. potent stuff though… i soon started using smaller portions but ramped them up quite quickly- the hit definitely helped me off the cigs and on to swedish snus. must get some again, i remember i loved it (even if the ‘67% texture’ and unknown health risks unsettled me a little). only thing i ever used the prismaster for. cant seem to find those on any UK selling sites now though.

As noted @R25, Mr. Snuff has both Makla and the tools- not sure if its still on but they had a free offer, where if you buy Makla and order a tool they threw it in for free (the tool that is). Me- I have always just pressed it onto a suitable size in my palm and then pop it in. Sure there is a bit of hand washing afterwards, but worth the “bother” when I want some.

who else gets totally high on this stuff? Snus is too weak. I love this stuff once in a while. Cant be healthy too often for heart or mouth
