@jeffecrycraft1 I don’t know what you’re asking exactly. I sense that it’s perhaps a question about technique, and all I can say about that is practice makes perfect. Sounds like a cop out I know, but it’s how I learned despite reading endless posts on this very forum.

Yeah, I put it in my nose too, seems to do the trick:)

This fixation on nicotine still baffles me.  I understand the conversion from cigarettes to something less harmful, but the focus on which snuff has the highest nicotine confounds me.

High proof, for me, is beside the point.  Quality of leaf, scenting, care in milling and sieving are more important.  Just my opinion.  If you need a bigger nicotine fix, take a few more pinches until the whips and jingles subside.

I enjoy the ritual . I use snus for nicotine levels and puff on my pipe for relaxation

I like fine Indian White for the instant gratification ,You know you just used snuff!

I employ the Indian Blacks for their decongestant  quality’s. When I get blocked or just dry nose caves.

Dholakia Medicated No.10 when I am sick. Works great for headaches too.

And the rest for pleasure.

I like the texture of some snuffs .When they sit comfortably in my face.

Strong sensation ,Sometime I like a snuff to blow a hole through the back of my head and have my eyeball hanging on my cheek…

I love the history and I love my snuff box collection. And I really like having soooooo many choices both with different types of snuffs and delivery options, Be it the pinch , boxcar, back of hand or spoon.

I like feeling the particles of fine ground tobacco as it tickles the tiny hairs in my nose.

And all the rest is gravy or frosting on the cake for any vegans out there!

I’m a nicotine fiend… I’ll admit it. That being said, I also enjoy the aroma and flavor of snuff. There are some snuffs that I really enjoy, but just seem to lack enough vitamin N. I just cram some more up up my nose until I’m satisfied. I’ve also added rustica to my snuff before in a snuffbox, not directly to the tin. It ups the nicotine content without affecting the flavor of the snuff.

I agree that it’s all about enjoyment and appreciation. Also true, if you need more nicotine-constant snuffing is a good way to get that accomplished. As well as a entertaining reason to snuff all day

I aim for the front part of my nose and sometimes warm the pinch between my fingers.

@chefdaniels.  i used nicotine as an example of what i was meaning. ive noticed there is a cretain spot in my nose where it feels right to go and actually makes my nose run (i have heard that the wetter the nose the better the experience is as opposed  to a moderately dry nose) unfortunately i have only hit that spot twice and i cant remember where it is in my nose lol. id like to get in to making my own snuff since i think it would be cheaper tried it once with pouch of tobacco but the taste and texture was wrong. besides from snuff makers does anywhere else out there sell powdered tobacco to use as a base?

There are several threads contained herein on making your own. An afternoon of research should provide you with all you need.

@jeffcraft1, order some Natural Burley and some Light Fire Cured from wholeleaftobacco.com and pick-up an extra coffee grinder.  This will get you rolling as you research and add more accouterments.   Eventually, various sea-salts, a mortar and pestle, various sized sieves, etc.  Good luck and enjoy the journey!

i used rolling tobacco once but it came out with a very bitter backdrip smelled like lawn clippings and was low on nicotine very dry too
