Greetings everyone. I remember one of our members explaining that in the region of Madras the snuff tends to be cooked in ghee. I use TAS Rathnam Madras snuff which I enjoy very much and I believe is in this style. I was wondering if any of you have tried any similar types of snuff? The Jet brand snuff by Umas is supposed to have ghee in it. Have any of you tried it and if so can anyone make a comparison or at least describe it? Thank You.

No, I have never tried Jet. However, I’m pretty sure all of the more traditional Indian made snuffs are ghee based. I think its what gives the moister ones that slippery texture.
