Lutz and Weiss

Here is a Silver Niello German Lutz and Weiss Antique 900 Silver Snuff Box Circa 1900 that I picked up today. Just thought I would post a pic. It’s a little bitter than I expected but still none the less, pretty cool.

Very nice, looks lovely! How do you mean it’s a little bitter…?

That’s a nice looking little box @coreymillia‌ what price range was that in 80-180GBP? Here’s the dainty little box I just picked up, Circa 1838 0.950 silver french hallmarked snuff box L63XW36XH16mm only 70GBP, soon see if it’s usable or just something pretty for me to look at. Little jealous of the awesome pattern on yours haha, looks sort of like woodgrain but also reminds me of Damascus steel.

Gorgeous boxes, gentlemen.

@joelS It was $230. So 142GBP. 70GBP is a very good price for that! I spent about my max for snuff boxes… and the next one I want is $749… Gonna just sleep on that idea for a couple months. I don’t think I would want to carry that one. This one I thought it would be too big, but the smooth corners made it easy to retrieve from my pocket while I was driving today. It was also quick and effortless taking a pinch on the sharp mountain roads. I am pretty satisfied, at first it looked like it may just sit on the table, but works well. I still carried a small heartwood box, just because I have my all day sweet dry mix in it.

Yes it looked good for the price and I’d be ok with carrying it daily without worry. The tap box’s my Bernard schmalzler comes in either give me not much or enough for an American football team >:D< I’m the same though @coreymillia‌ ‌there’s a few boxs I’d like that are definitely for special occasional purposes only and I’ll get one in due time to. For now I’m just waiting to pounce on the next available Patrick collins tripletech and I’ll be set for daily storage 8->

Very nice.
