Lowenprise and the mystery elements

I picked this up on my last order on somewhat of a whim and I really like the not too sweet liquorice flavor with just a little more menthol than I might have liked. It’s like ice liquorice minus the excess menthol. But when I went outside with it fresh in my nose, I seemed to detect something else to it in the background. A little woodsy sort of thing that I’ll have to explore more. Whatever it was kind of called me back to my trip to Germany with my high school orchestra. Anyway what I’ve noticed about liquorice and fennel seeds and sassafras and even in the background of wintergreen is some kind of not really spicy not really sweet not really salty not sour etc. just interesting flavor. Does anyone else know what I’m talking about and how can it be described?

I have no idea what you’re talking about. However I have noticed that many snuffs aren’t as one dimensional as they are presented as being. I’ve had several snuffs. No one believes me that medicated 99 has corriander in or that crumbs of comfort has more then just mint and a touch of menthol (which it certainily has a touch of menthol among other things). It’s one of the wonderfull things about snuff. Additionaly sometimes the interplay of two scents can create phantom scents when blended in the right way. Bergamot and peppermint does some strange things ;).

That can be described as an herbal scent in my book.

Makes sense I suppose. It’s so hard to nail it down. That reminds me that a sassafras flavored snuff might be interesting.
