A question for more experienced snuffers: Is it normal to “love the burn” that comes from ingesting certain snuffs, or is it something that experienced snuff takers view as an impediment to enjoyment. I seem to love the varieties that really make my eyes water and my head throb, and burn intensely like McC Mild Lemon and Levi Garrett, to name two that otherwise are quite dissimilar. I’m not talking so much about the nicotine hit, as the sensation of temporary sensory overload, like inhaling an old Gaulloise Blue Straight back in the day.

I LOVE snuff with a nice burn. Period.

Certainly! It is the nasal equivalent of spicy food. I once mixed in a little black pepper in some Navy Plain. It gave it a nice burn indeed.

BURN = rapid nicotine absorption by nasal mucosa = FEELS GOOD

Sometimes it’s all about the burn. Is it normal? This picture comes to mind, a couple of hippie chicks from “Up in Smoke” sniffing Ajax making some kind of chimp grunt. whu!-whu!-uhhmm… Seriously, I haven’t done the chimp grunts.
