This might sound strange, but they are the only two kinds that work for me as dailies (that I have tried). It has to do with the fineness. For Quit, it’s all in the absence of veins which allows the otherwise overly-coarse grind to flow. For IHT 22 of course it’s the straight fineness. They are good blended together for me, but what would be really nice is if there was something out there that gave the same feeling with better (more coherent) design and consistency. Ideas?

A couple of suggestions - you could try Wilsons Irish ‘D’ which is similar to the IHT 22 but with SP flavouring. You might also like to give F&T High Dry Toast a go. Some people consider it to be the ‘ideal’ toast. From a different maker, you could also give Viking Blonde a try. It’s not as dry, and not toasted, but it is pleasant and easy to take - and some people have noticed a similarity between it and HDT.

agree with @Justin‌ and would add trying SP’s especially J&H wilsons SP No1

Lundy Foot! If Johnny made it in 55 Gallon Drums I’d be first in line. In the interim it’s Lundy Foot as #1, HDT as #2, Toque Natural Toast as #3 and Wilsons 22 coming in a strong fourth. S. Gawith’s Irish D Light has something in the background that takes away from the pure tobacco scent I look for in a toast or plain/natural snuff.
