Looking for a well balanced clove snuff (non or very lightly menthol/camphor)

As the title suggests, I’m looking for a well balanced clove snuff to add to my pending order that is either not at all or very lightly contains menthol or camphor. I’d prefer something a little complex instead of straight clove. Reviews I’ve read on McCrystals seem to lead me to believing it is more of a straight/singular clove flavored snuff. SG CCC seams to be a contender as it is lightly mentholated from what I’ve seen. While I do love Toque Christmas Pudding (and partake quite frequently in this one)… I need something with that little something extra. Any ideas or feedback is certainly welcomed.

Dark Horse Clove is good but it’s quite straight/singular clove flavored. And not too easy to find. Not the same as McCrystals. I found some at my local Tobacco shop and I don’t think they are reordering it. It’s a Kentucky Snuff.

Toque Clove and Camphor might be a good choice but it might be a little too heavy on the camphor, I know monthol/camphor normally does my nose over but this one doesn’t do it that often.

I agree with R25 that Toque Camphor & Clove may be a good choice. It is my favorite clove snuff. Both ingredients are very well balanced in this snuff and it is not as strong flavored as some others I have tried. The grind is course for a Touque snuff and the tobacco flavor shines also.

McChrystal’s Clove is nothing but full power clove. I have 500g of it, so I’d be happy to send @Southern_Snuffster you a bit if you’d like.

I could be wrong but I detect clove in McChrystal’s Cinnamon Christmas snuff.

For cloves try Toques Christmas Pudding … May sound odd, but I got that one in today and it is indeed a balanced clove snuff! (and no Christmas Pud)

plain snuff that hangs out with cloves makes a great snuff.

@Derek_007‌ Christmas Pudding is one if my favorites and I can polish a 25g tin rather quickly. Roderick did very well in that creation. However, at times I feel like it is missing that little something extra. Not sure what that “extra” should be, but it needs something for that wow factor. @bob‌ I might yet try my hand at scenting my own clove snuff. If/when I do, I’ll certainly report back.

Think I might take the tin of FUBAR Grunt I’ve left open for the last two ish weeks to remove the horrid ashtray smell and mix it with some crushed cloves and a little allspice and see how that works. Failing that it becomes snus.

in McChrystal’s clove snuff, I don’t detect any menthol at all. It is just straight clove smell, like you are hanging above a box of fresh cloves. I think it is a very nice snuff, a bit peppery too.

ccc and mcc. clove are good choices, but i had best results making my own clove snuff.

MdeK’s Pomadour is clove-ish but not overly so.
