Looking for a particular type of snuff

Hi, I’m new to the site and semi new to snuff. I’m looking for something like an Ozona but just a plain regular tobacco. Like a coarse, moist, “red”. If you know what I mean. All the Ozona’s seem to be menthol and/or fruity. I couldn’t find a plain version of it. I’ve tried some schmalzlers but didn’t really find much interest there. The samuel ones I tried just tasted/smelled like fine cut chew which is gross lol and nothing even close to as enjoyable as an Ozona. I really like the best dark WoS as it’s coarse and goes up very easy but it is still a dry snuff. The moisture in the Ozonas allows for really big and fast pulls without anything going to the throat (no real technique necessary) but the mintyness sort of limits it at the same time. I just want something plain as a sorta daily grind snuff that I can take big gobs of at a time haha  Thanks in advance for any suggestions

Try Poschl Schmalzler options. They are not mentholated and I have had three of the four offerings and recommend them. A Brazil for a pretty good darker tobacco snuff. Doppelroma D is sweet, but also very good. Poschl SF is super sweet and fruity. I have yet to try Poschl Schmalzler Perlereuter

I hesitate to suggest a snuff that will be discontinued, but Bernard Aecht Altbayrischer Schmalzler is my go to for that kind of snuff, but I have been looking for a replacement for those that are going away, and as of now, the Poschl Schmalzlers are going to be on deck for when I exhaust my supply.

I recommend JH Wilson SP No 1. Bergamot in it is very low. It’s almost plain and the base tobbaco has a great scent. I can take tons of this.

I’d suggest taking a look at something like Snuv’s Rusty Trombone, Toque’s Barleywine; Bernard’s Virginie is fantastic, but sadly not around for much longer.
I have found all of these to be on the plain scale but with some subtle hints of their own - coarse and moist.

WoS Plain (medium moisture/medium nic)
F & T High Dry Toast (low moisture/high nic)
WoS Irish no. 22 (low moisture/high nic)

My all-time baccy flavored favs.

lol none of those are what I was looking for. I have a ton of WoS too and none are moist at all. I love several of them but yeah… not what I was looking for. Frankly I think the term “medium moisture” is used on too many dry snuffs and it’s misleading.

Sorry - misread your post.

Viking scotch dark. Moist, coarse grind and a very mature tobacco flavor. Wet hay? Horse barn? Thors hammer is good too

Thanks Dozer. I’ve seen a few Vikings while perusing. I’ll be sure to try some on my next order.
