Hi, once again with a survey like question… In your experience which snuff has the longest lasting fragrance? It is Pöschl’s Andechs and Gawith Apricot for me. It still lingers half to one hour since taken. Also, which one has the most intense smell? I had a similar sense with Toque Peppermint. As if eaten some leaves of peppermint. What about you?

A

Dholakia Ganga and Kamal floral scents that stays forever!

P

Not excactly long lasting, but this Checkerberry I just recieved has a very intense wintergreen flavor that actually gave me that burning felling in the nose I havn’t felt for some time. Great stuff…

P

GH Tia Maria… the aroma comes back even after I’ve taken something else.

A

Any Dholakia, Toque raspberry and probably the ultimate long laster for me is Royal George. On a slightly seperate note, I find I can love a snuff one week and hate it the next. When Toque brought out raspberry I loved it, now I can’t stand it. I always seem to default back to plain SP types.

P

Snuffster, that is the funny side of snuffing. When I tasted TOQUE Grapefruit for the first time, I hated it. Now I crave it all the time. I loved Espresso, now it’s almost tasteless. Original had so much lemon in it, I mixed it with Natural to tone it down, now I add Grapefruit to Natural to give it a citrus smell. Vanilla wa tasteless when I first tried it, now I use it as an all day snuff. My first impression of Manjul was: “This stuff will kill me”, now I use it every day. I can go on and on. But, if I leave any snuff sitting for a while, I detect something new in it. AND THAT IS WHY I LOVE SNUFF!!

A

Yeah, I agree. One type I will never take again though is the chocolate - I find it absoluteley nauseating.

S

As for long lasting, has to be the Chief Bull. I don’t know what they put in it (or just how different it is from Red Bull) but I can’t get that stuff out of nose for nearly a good hour.

A

Toque chocolate for me smells exactly like … chocolate!!

S

Mmm…dark chocolate. Must…order…

B

hydrahead i too have recently tried the W.E. Garret sweet and i know what you mean its almost a stale urine scent but strangely i like it as its not too sweet or dry so its a bit of a paradox for me.

T

Gawith Apricot, most Dholakias and Wilson’s Ice Liquorice last for quite some time. Also F&T Old Pari & Morlaix can linger nicely. Bernard’s schmaltzers on the other hand tend to have a really intense immediate burst of flavour that dies away almost immediately.

S

Ganga, Kamal and Manjul in that order. Those are the most exotic and longest lasting fragrances I’ve had and. F&Ts highly perfumed selections last quite a while too, arguably fortunate in their case. For Scotchs it’s hard to beat the smoky goodness of Square. Taxi Red has an indescribably delicious aroma that tantalizes for almost an hour, their menthol is quite nice too.

A

Yes hydrahead i tried the Dholakia swiss chocolate and i love most of Dholakia snuffs but i guess the strong chocolate flavor do not match well with the dholakia tobacco!! i prefer the Toque one over all kinds of chocolate snuffs that i ever tried (Perfect chocolate feeling not to strong)!! Sorry again for the bad english!!

A

Perfume? sounds we have not the same taste!

M

Probably off topic, but my girlfriend just shot me in the butt with a BB gun, it really hurt! I will delete this in the morning when I sober up. But to keep the thread in good shape… I think Christmas Pudding or Seville probably have the most intense flavours. Owww…

H

Dholakia Swiss Chocolate seems to be the most intense longest lasting flavor I have tried yet, thats not saying much as I have only tried about 5 different flavors so far.

A

Like everyone in Brazil i love coffee so in a couple of weeks a will make an order from toque and i guess i will love the expresso Roderick can you tell me if you plan to release a new flavor? i am thinking about getting a big order to try all the flavors that i havent tried . (two days after my last one you came out with Quit !

S

Oh man, now that is it! The perfect snuff. Bourbon and tobacco, as perfect a combo as there is. Please place my pre-order at your earliest convenience, and God Bless you and yours!

J

i am going to have to agree with those who said that toque christmas pudding is the most intense flavor, and i would say that w.e.garret is probably the most intense american snuff flavor i’ve tried yet.

S

As far as long lasting aroma goes, for me its a toss up between Dholakia Ganga and Chief Bull. Humidity seems to make a big difference, especially snuffing in the night air.

J

For unscented snuffs: the longest lasting is WE garrett a down home BBQ in your nose. the most intense is F.U.B.A.R. grunt a spicy oriental tobacco reminiscent of turkish gold RYO that has no burley to tone it down. For scented snuffs: the longest lasting F&T bordeaux with its floral and sandalwood scent. the most intense is willsons grand cairo with white hot flash burn and a cascade of about 4 deferent scents.

S

I see you finally tried the Grand Cairo Jarhog. Do you like it? I plan to always have some on hand.

J

Yes I do, I will have to keep some on hand too. I am liking the grunt too. I got some manjul and kamal after enjoying your taste but I have been so busy with the others I have not gotten to them yet. sooooooo many snuffs and so little time

N

the longest lasting aroma for me would be F&T Bordeaux. It seems to last hours…

B

To me it’s definatly Dholakia choclate. Last too long in my opnion. O.k. The ganga last longer but it is more like a hint, I’ll hit another snuff and I’ll smell the other snuff it will wear off I’ll then smell a hint of ganga. The choclate on the other hand I’ll snuff another snuff and it will smell like it’s half choclate. Though if you mix toque and dholakia choc you get totsie roll.

S

I found this old topic, and thought it’d be interesting to bring it up again. For me, Gawith Apricot (as @wishmaster and @toffeenose mentioned), and also Ozona Raspberry, and my recent purchase of WoS Jockey Club all have particularly pleasant ‘staying power’.

T

I don’t normally take menthol so I’ll go with something like F&T Morocco is awesome and It’s pretty darn strong… it’ll last you quite awhile.

X

A lot of ghosts on this page. To stay on topic, French Carotte is really long lasting, as are many Indian perfumed ones.

N

Jaxon’s Toffee. You get tired of it before the scent fades.

J

Dholakia’s Ganga and Kamal are super long-lasting. Too bad I didn’t care for the scents so I traded them. They are the most lasting fragrances of any snuff I’ve had. I could do a pinch of another snuff and I’d still smell the Dholakia ones stronger than the snuff I just used.

S

Whalen’s Extreme snuff has a nice lingering. It’s a curious one, as both the buzz and the scent build up over the course of about 5 minutes. As for commercial snuffs, Bernards newish Fichtennadel is a lingerer. I need to give it another try in a minute.

T

I just reread this post and couldn’t stop laughing at Mopeys’ " my girlfriend just shot me in the butt with a BB gun, it really hurt! I will delete this in the morning when I sober up." Yes off topic but, worth a laugh!

D

I’ll second French Carotte, it lasts a good half hour for me. On a separate but oft-repeated note, whenever I step outside the most recent scent reintroduces itself quite pleasantly.

S

@Toque - Absolutely, that was a funny insight into that fellow’s slightly bizarre/kinky private life…! I forgot to mention Samuel Gawith Raspberry. Since experimenting with the mixing malarkey I’ve found that a more or less equal mix of SG Raspberry and Hedges is very pleasant, and the raspberry scent lasts for a long time in the ol’ nozzle.

S

Just took a shot of WoS Jasmine. It may not be the longest lasting but the intensity and duration are exceptionally strong. Maybe even too strong.

B

Sun Kohinoor lasts a LOOOONG time

B

Toque’s Lavender is lengthy, flavor wise.

P

I would pick either F&T Santo Domingo or their Princes Special for longest lasting. Not only does the scent go on forever, but they can overpower whatever your next pinch may be.

A

For me is poschl Schmalzler sudfrucht. I fell the tast of fruit for almost an hour

D

I think Pöschl Apricot lasts a very long time, but I think F&T Macouba provides respectable competition both in intensity of flavor and longevity of fragrance.

T

I find F&T Dr. J.R. Justice to have the longest lasting scent. Sometimes this is a good thing, sometimes not so much…
