long term storage

being a pipe smoker I am up to speed on the whole Ball jar issue. I was wondering if any of the bulk containers, 8oz to 16oz, are safe for long term storage, or if the snuff should go directly into jars upon receipt. Specifically, I love WoS IHT #22 and will be buying several of the 260g tubs. Just wanted to know if I could trust those for long term storage or not. I got a pound of F&T Princes in the F&T plastic tub (ebay purchase) and the tobacco was way past its prime.

I like my Wilson’s 260g (half pound) containers. I hate the 450g one (the one pound) I had. I ended up decanting it to a glass bail and clamp jar. The half pounders have a screw lid, and the one pounder has a pop off lid. Always smelled like it was leaking.

Talking about snuff storage. I’ve discovered something that definitely makes a difference. I googled oxygen absorbers and snuffhouse and didn’t see anything about them in past discussions. I use glass mason jars for storage and just throw one of my 100cc oxygen absorbers in with the snuff. It actually pulls the metal lid down like it’s been canned when I open it back up. Anyone else use these?
The best source that I have found for them is from honeyvillegrain.com , good suppliers of staples for storage and ANY order ships for $4.49 (in the US). Make sure that you store the packets in a sealed jar after you get them, if you buy some, or they’ll go bad in no time.

I just stick unopened containers right into my freezer.

Sherching means of storage I have understood why there is a plastic to cut on 6 Photo’s 45g tins.

You might keep it in circle and conserv it above during all tin live,it preserve snuff of liquid evaporation.
