I stopped by my local tobacconist today to pick up a tin a General Snus, and got to talking about PACT and importing and what not. She told me she was looking for a new product to put on her shelves, since Poschl has pulled out of the US market. I told her hang on, went and grabbed a tin of Toque Coke and showed it to her, she loved the idea of 100% natural and that she can get fresh from factory. She told me she’d pick it up to replace the tons of poschl she used to sell. I didnt tell her that I could order it myself, but this is a cool backup in case the PACT becomes more overbearing than it already is. if nothing else, it’s another sale for Roderick.
There must be someone handling Toque’s distribution in the US, because I know Iwan Ries & Co in Chicago carries a few Toque flavors, along with several other snuffs. But it certainly wouldn’t hurt for Toque to be available in more US retail outlets.
I’d love to see Toque in every gas station here. My parents always told me though…wish in one hand and *defecate* in the other, and see which fills first. But it would be awesome, anyways.
I believe if Roderick has his way, it will be everywhere! He is one of the few, truely customer oriented, business people left. I will consume toque snuff above all others because of that. The quality, the service, etc.
Snuffrider@ same exact story with a tobacconist in my area, I pulled out a tin of W&H and they were very interested in contacting Roderik. I’m curious if they ever contacted him.
@PSS: Not sure, but I think Roderick does it directly. I’m sure he will comment. Iwan Ries did have online sales, though their selection was small. I’m just saying that an internet presence makes them more likely to contact Roderick or vice versa. I’m willing to visit my local tobacconists and show them some Toque and leave them some samples, I just don’t know if the network is there for effective distribution.
I think a nice/cheap table top stand/card that could hold cans, would be a good thing to have at bars. Specifying Nasal Snuff on the card, and few flavors, and even a sample can on the bar would be a good intro/sales item.
