I am going to start buying Lorillard until Food Lion runs out

The poor guy probably thinks you are KrAzY for wanting to stick that stuff up your nose :-)) Good to see most of them are still in production, thank you for sharing!

^My emphasis. I doubt the guy even has a complete list himself. Also not sure if its a typo, or if he’s made a mistake, but Society and Strawberry are two separate ones.

@Xander They do use the term (some) and while I was doing a study on them, they used that term in all documents. I believe it is because they do produce snuff for other companies around the globe. I specified Lorillard as my favorite in (3) emails that I sent and would had thought that they would had least gave me a comforting assurance that it is on the list (I could be wrong) but I am not going to wait until I can’t get something to worry about it  It would be nice if others that use Swisher products would go to the website: http://www.swisher.com/web/main/ and ask questions. Maybe the results will be different

I tried years back to contact them. I got very limited results. I remember them saying a rep would contact me but never did. They took my phone number down too. I had always figured it was just really too big a company to give much attention to this, and dry snuff was only a very small piece of their empire. Coupons were given out to some members a few years before my time here. I think there was some issue redeeming them. What snuffs for other companies do you think they make? They seem to have inherited the snuffs that they make from Helme, and thats about it. They have the best range of scotch snuffs and a couple odd ones (Maccoboy and Checkerberry) which seem to hold out although they had a second Maccoboy and a “High Toast” up until the '80s that they produced but were discontinued. I’ve managed to find the old Maccoboy (Lorillard Maccoboy) and its a bit different than the RR Mills. The High Toast has always had me curious if it would compare to an Irish High Toast. I’m pretty sure Lorillard Sweet is still made, but the regular Scotch and other Lorillard products are long gone. They were with Helme (before Swisher) but acquired by the monopoly from Lorillard itself before that.

Also I’m thinking they say “some” because they are not including, Ralph’s, Railroad Mills Plain, Three Thistle (Strong and Sweet) and Navy Plain all of which are still seen in places.

The coupons will probably be for grape -flavored cigars… Will be interesting to see what comes of it.

@Xander If I used the same prodution knowledge on snuff against what I know about printing ink, I would venture to say that even if something stops being produced, that tons not packed are still sitting in a warehouse. Specialty Ink company’s will put something in production when quantities hit a certain mark and use past sales to determine how much the should make. I am thinking of maybe sending about (5) emails asking the one question: “Do you still produce Lorillard (plain) or Lorillard (sweet)” Just in case it was a missed item My goal wasn’t to scare anyone but just pass on information that I collect and let you decide how it affects your life

@Bart I will produce pictures of whatever they send me

On snuff that they produce for other companies, I wouldn’t have a clue but they do state that they do it. Wouldn’t it be funny if they didn’t get into advertising a Nasal snuff because of a trade agreement that they have with other companies (conflict of interest)

Society and Strawberry are two separate ones.

Was going to ask, was there something I didn’t know… I figured as much though.

If you write or speak to customer service, I would ask him/her to confirm that they no longer make Railroad Mills Maccoboy, Lorillard Sweet, Ralph’s, Railroad Mills Plain, Three Thistle Strong, Three Thistle Sweet and Starr. (I sure hope they’re not out of production–those are among my favourite American snuffs. I wouldn’t shed a tear for the loss of Buttercup or Strawberry.)

@Mike_B I sent a reply to Michele’s email asking the direct question “Do you still make Lorillard?” (my favorite) I am hoping that a single question might give a clear response. I would suggest that you use the site above and ask specific questions several times and please share your response. I think that is the only way to get somewhere with big companies

@Mike_B Michele said that they still make Lorillard sweet (I am happy) She said she didn’t include it in the list because I mentioned that I still use it (assuming that I knew it was still in production)

So Patrick Dummer just sent me a text saying they have all flavors and asked what ones I couldn’t find. I just text’d him back saying that I was looking for information on snuff that may not be produced anymore like: Lorillard (plain) Lorillard (maccoboy) Railroad Mills (plain) Three Thistles (strong) Three Thistles (sweet) Starr I am sure most are still at distribution centers but the question is “Are they still being produced?” Which I don’t know if he would know. I’ll share his response when he sends it. Took him over a day to answer the first text (laughing) I emailed this same information to Michele

@MattheFox Thanks a bunch for making the effort and keeping us posted.

Not even a problem @bipolarbear1968 I have the most to gain being a big fan of Swisher snuffs.

@Matthefox, Be easy on Patrick Dummer. This is the most action Swisher has seen concerning dry snuff since the '50’s. His head may explode if you keep this up.

@Bart He sent a 2nd text saying that he can get them all. I would like to get a case of Lorillard (plain) which was considered a high toast but I will think on it over night. he seems to be a nice guy & I am sure Michele will confirm the factories intent on Monday
