Has anyone here ever done Lines of snuff? Or do it regularly? A couple of my buddies who have been doing snuff for longer than I, they do lines of snuff and fairly big lines too.

Is this an acceptable form of taking snuff or is it frowned upon in the snuff community?

You should use it how you like. Period.

The only issue is that it almost certainly won’t give you the full flavour taken as lines, which is a shame because snuff is not a tobacco form like cigarettes that is purely about nicotine delivery and where taste is pretty secondary. Taking smaller amounts as a pinch, from a bullet or from the back of the hand, and taking them more regularly, will tend towards more taste and a more effective nic dose - you can’t lay out a few lines unless you are in private (usually), but the other methods allow you to get the benefits more discreetly anywhere, hence the better control of the nicotine. I actually doubt you would want to use it that way if you found out how pleasant it is taken in a more standard way.

But if you are just going after as much snuff as you can cram up there then line em up. It’s a touch ‘jackass’ or ‘youtube’ but who can say it’s wrong? I certainly wouldn’t waste any time wondering what people think if it’s what floats your boat

“Hi, I’m Johnny Knoxville. Welcome to Jackass. Steve-O is about to funnel 10 ounces of Bruton into his nose while being hung upside down with barbed wire!”

I do bumps off a plate, but only when I am using a WoS tin. I open them over the plate and there is always fallout until the can has been well broken in. Its not as pleasurable, but its easiar for doing quick mixes.

So a plate may have 5 grams of Hedges, 5 grams of Dholakia Swiss Chocolate, and 5 grams of a WoS toast or something. I can play around with whatever strength mix I want, and am not left with a lot of mixed snuff I don’t like.

On a side note… Crumbs of Comfort doesn’t mix well with anything for my tastes, and isnt that great on its own.  I like spearmint gum, just not snuff.

Also, it takes a lot of care and technique to do a fine and dry snuff with a “sniffer?”. I use a disassembled bic pen. To do a toast, the tip of the pen is just inside my nose and forced to the bottom of the nostril, this leaves an air gap above the pen, for me for some reason the air vectors well this way to actually coat the nose instead of going straight to the throat.

I got a good kick out of that video of the kid snorting a whole tin of Ozona Raspberry off a table. He showed up here just to show us that. I asked him wether he spit or swallowed he said he didn’t spit.

@JohnnyFriday thanks for the air vector tip…if I ever.

I take lines of snuff on a regular basis.  I don’t like the more moist snuffs as they have a tendency to drip when I take them that way.  I don’t think it’s a matter of not getting the full flavor out of a snuff, it’s that you get a different flavor.  If you take HDT as a line it (to my nose) gives off an entirely different scent palette than when kept in the nostril.

As for really fine, dry snuffs, you can make an extremely long line out of a really small amount.  Just a touch of a toast (I’m assuming the same is true for a scotch) and I can get a nice even line that runs all the way across my large desk.  With a more moist snuff it clumps and makes much smaller lines, even though it is more snuff.

It’s personal preference really.  Do what you like and try different things with different snuffs.
