Hello, I was curious about trying some floral snuffs without them being over bearing like great aunt Maude’s perfume. The only snuff that I have that would be close to a floral snuff would be OM Kind Of Blue due to the lavender. Any recommendations for a light floral snuff? Doesn’t have to be lavender specific since I have that covered, but rose and other floral scents would be nice.
Everyone’s nose is different, and we all perceive different potency from snuffs, so it’s never easy to predict how recommendations will be received. That said, I too found many florals overwhelming when I first started snuffing, yet there are a few which I enjoyed, and still do. I can’t recommend WoS Wallflower highly enough. It’s the flower snuff for people who don’t love flower snuffs.

I agree with @50ft_trad, SG Grousemoor is very nice and not too strong. F&T Princes is amazing.

@Psicko, keep an open mind, but if you are worried about “overpowering” and “Auntie Maude’s perfume”, maybe only buy one F&T to start with? In a small size? Toque Violet is a gorgeous snuff. Well worth trying. Gotta try Toque Rose, one day, maybe Lavender. But I vouch for Violet.

I know you’ve got the lavender covered, but I can definitely vouch for Toque Lavender. And I’m not even a big fan of floral snuffs.

I’m not much of a fan of floral snuffs, but the only one I REALLY like is an “Over the Top” floral: F&T Macouba.

Personally, I’ve been rather underwhelmed with solo scented florals. I know others have different opinions, but I could never entertain any more than two or three pinches of them, and then I completely lost interest. I threw all my WoS and Toque single florals into a big mixing pot with a load of other snuffs I wasn’t enthusiastic about. The result is (for me) better than any of the individual ingredients. That’s just my take on the matter though, and there’s plenty of fans of the single flower snuffs on this forum.
Toque Violet. It’s been my favorite out of the floral scents I grabbed, and the favorite among folks I’ve introduced to snuff over this past week or so.
Toque Rose isn’t bad either, but nowhere near as nice as the violet, in my opinion.
Edit: Upon revisiting, the rose does have some thorns, but the violet is very smooth.
Looks like toque violet is on the short list. I’ll probably give the wallflower and others in this thread a try. Thanks for the suggestions. More are welcome as well.
Don’t be alarmed if the Violet smells strong in the tin, far more mellow in the nose.

For me SWS Roslein has a nice floral component that is not overpowering. It also has a lot more going for it. Currently one of my favs.

@BCT, yes Roslein is one of my favorite snuffs too, especially as a Floral. it’s actually beautifully done
