I love SP snuffs because of the bergamont flavour. Since I got some McC Mild Lemon a while ago, I started swaying towards more lemon and less SP snuff per day. Now I’ve received WoS Lemon Grove and Thyme & Lemon and it really is so nice, I just love it. How do you, ladies and gentlemen of the jury, rate lemon snuff? And what other lemons should I try?
I love lemon snuff, I think it is really underrated in the realm of citrus snuffs.
I think you already found the best two, Pieter. McC Mild Lemon, and WoS Lemon Grove are both permanent members of my collection. Both are lemon, but both are quite a bit different from each other to make me not be able to have a single favorite. I’m pretty sure there is some lemon in WoS Morlaix. Also check out WoS Strasbourg if you haven’t already. Its citron, which is similar to both lemon and bergamot.
Bordeaux has lemn may blossums apperantly and has a strong lemon mid tone.
Magnifying on the previous observations Pieter, I enjoy using both McC’s Mild Lemon and WoS Lemon Grove as dessert snuffs. Real treats. I get much more of the herb than the fruit from the Thyme & Lemon though. I take a pinch once in awhile just because it’s there. I’ll get a chance to see for myself on the Strasbourg soon. Per an earlier recommend from Xander I included that one in my WoS order.
When I first began snuffing my arch-nemesis was McChrystals Mild Lemon; I found it very dry and fine, I literally could not take a pinch without sneezing but I always persisted at it because it was such a nice snuff! (Damn you McChrystals!) After gaining some experience I no longer have difficulty with Mild Lemon, in fact it is a firm favourite now My new Arch-Nemesis is High Dry Toast!
I love lemon flavored snuff, love it! I regularly have Toque SP Extra in my nose, I also dig the St. Clements. WoS Lemon Grove is a favorite too. Still havent got McC’s Mild Lemon, but its on my list, and if its half as good McC’s Apricot Im going to die lol. Im into citrus/fruit snuffs in general but lemon flavored are defintely on the top of that list.
I thought that Temptation Lime & Lemony was not bad.
Thyme and Lemon from WOS is a wonderful snuff.
WoS Brunswick also has lemon or something very similar in it. Xander mentioned WoS Morlaix already. I heard that F&T Morlaix does not have lemon, in contrast. Is that right?
WoS Strasbourg was already mentioned - strong lemon flavor, reminded me a bit of… well, dishwashing liquid. But it grows on you. I enjoy this one a lot!
I’ve never really noticed any lemon scent in Morlaix before. Perhaps its my nose but the only strong fruit scent I’ve detected in F&T efforts seems to be ‘Seville’ I find them floral rather than fruity
I’ve been using WoS Lemon Grove for about a year, sometimes straight up and sometimes with just a touch of Toque Menthol added. I like it a LOT. I just placed an order which included some McCrystals Mild Lemon.
The only lemon snuff I ever tried was the tobacco-free Rockit Fuel. It did have quite the taste, almost like inhaling a lemon flavored cough drop. VERY pleasant. I eventually went ahead and mixed the Lemon Rockit Fuel with some of my Toque Coke and made some Lemon Coke. It’s a pretty awesome mixture!
@ Lazarus: I do not mean the F&T Morlaix. The Wilson’s Morlaix is quite different. I get a measure of lemon in the latter but not the former. I think I detect some neroli oil in the F&T version.
WoS Lemon Grove tastes like unsweetened tea with lemon.
I just got some McC’s Mild lemon, theres nothing mild about it, whooo mama is that lemon! I love it though, I damn near killed the 4g the dau I go it.
Although I have yet to try this- How does Toque’s grapefruit compare to other Lemon snuff?
Depends on the lemon snuff in question. WoS Lemon Grove is subtle like Toque Grapefruit imo. McC’s Mild lemon is much more intense.
