I am not very experienced with really strong snuffs…Toque Quit and Dholakia Sparrow were the most potent I have tried…Which snuffs do you think are The Kings Of Nic?

A

Hard to say because we all experience snuff against the background of our own nicotine tolerance and, of course, snuff products don’t display the nicotine content like cigarettes, which ultimately makes the issue subjective as there is no way, short of laboratory analysis, to determine a factual answer . Also, factors like fine milling can make snuffs seem stronger than they actually are due to the increased surface area making them more efficient at delivering the nicotine, as well as blending techniques that potentiate the available nicotine without adding to it. However, I guess a lot of snuff users would cite products like Dholakia White, Manjul, kamal, the SNAFU range, some of the fine milled Six Photo snuffs, Viking, Taxi - there’s a lot and I have not mentioned dozens of others. You could also look at some generics like the US Scotch snuffs and Irish toasts, which can be pretty potent. Everyone has their own opinion on this one and jumping in and trying as many as possible is really the golden rule with snuff exploration.

@abraxas Is Abraxas Banana going to be a strong fine ground snuff ?

A

I had no idea I was making a banana snuff! Where did you hear about that? If that was something people wanted I don’t see why it couldn’t happen at some point. I’ve got a list of about 20 potential snuffs I want to make and there is no reason why banana couldn’t be added. It would be quite an interesting project actually, working out a method of using fresh banana as a snuff sauce - I think just dumping some kind of food flavouring in the snuff would be too easy.

I’ve never really noticed one snuff being stronger then the others. I’ve noticed some fine snuffs like white scratch my itch faster but at the same time the itch come back sooner.

John Ross/Performance Center .500 S&W http://john-ross.net/store.php Yes, it’s a great revolver. I hope you Brits are green with envy John Ross, author of Unintended Consequences and .500 S&W Magnum specialist, has developed a .500 with features previously unavailable, and worked with the Performance Center to offer it to serious shooters who want the most from a working .500: 1. 5" half-lug barrel for GREAT balance and ballistics—you’ll love the way it looks, feels, carries, and shoots 3. Faster 1:10" twist button-rifled barrel—stabilizes bullets up to 725 grains at long range or at lower velocities, and gives deepest penetration. Gun is shipped sighted in for the powerful 500 grain Hornady long-nose factory load. 5. Tensioned barrel with muzzle nut—allows a tight .0035" cylinder gap for greater velocity 7. Interchangeable Millet front sight blade–be on target with ANY load 9. No unsightly markings—just my initials for the serial number prefix to let you know you’ve got the real thing, built with Performance Center dedication to detail. Elmer Keith (and Henry Bowman) would have loved it…

I

I didn’t understand any of that. Are we still talking about snuff?

T

Well…the OP did post “Large Bore Guns”

C

@tboyer Well this Brit is certainly jealous! We can’t even carry a decent knife here.

A

I’m into siege mortars and howitzers like Big Bertha. Also railroad guns are cool.

B

@tboyer, this American is jealous. Love John Ross. The book, the attitude, and the love of big booms.

M

stop talking about real guns, Pistoleros…I just wanted to know which SNUFFS you think are the strongest…thanks for your opinion…

H

Strongest does not mean best. What is the strenght is balanced flavor.
