Hello all!

I’m fairly new to snuffing and managed to get my hands on some Bernard’s Klostermischung from MrSnuff before it was sold out. It quickly became my favorite snuff of all I’ve tried (which so far is composed of McChrystal’s and Bernard’s offerings).

I understand McChrystal’s has taken over production of Bernard’s snuffs, and I hope to avail myself of what they make (when it comes out)!

In the meantime, is there a snuff that is a suitable substitute for Klostermischung? From what I’ve read around, Bernard’s is notably inimitable, but something similar would be nice! What I enjoyed most about Klostermischung was the aroma, the moisture, the lack of menthol (I didn’t detect any at least) and the nice coarse grind. It need not come in the convenient little tap box, and variance in nicotine content is acceptable also (although I prefer to avoid a stronger nicotine hit where possible).

Apologies if this is the wrong topic for this sort of post. I’ll gladly rewrite it elsewhere if the mods call for it.

Thanks and God bless you!

Welcome. Not tried that one so can’t compare but its a schmalzler so I recomend you check out the Poschl Schmalzler range. I’m sure one of the 4 options would fill the gap or you will become hooked on all 4.

Klostermischung is quite reserved for a schmalzer . I had some the other day. I’ve not personally tried this snuff but Otto Carribbean might also be worth looking at . Mr Snuff has affordable 25g sachets of Poschl DoppelD and Sudfrucht in stock . The price of experimenting with schmalzers can be a bit daunting otherwise .

Thank you kindly for the responses, I’ll certainly investigate these!

The two I would suggest would be Bernard Zwiefacher and Bernard Brazil Doppelt Fermentiert. I am Suggesting these because they come off to me as being in the same “family” as Klostermischung. They may also be sold out though. Good luck!
