I seem to have a very high nicotine tolerance, and Rustica by itself doesn’t have much of a scent or flavor, so I decided to mix it 50/50 with Swisher Superior, Starr, and Three Thistles Strong (not all together, but Rustica with each one of the three) for an extra nicotine kick.  Unfortunately, the Rustica seems to overpower the scent of the other snuffs, so that the subtle smokiness and tobacco scent unique to each Scotch is overpowered by the hay-like flavor of the Rustica.  Beginner’s mistake, I guess.  I’ll keep them separate from now on.

Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Track down some Rooster. No need to add rustica imho.

never make big mixes try it out in small amounts first. That’s the mixing rule I never ever follow myself.

@bob, excellent suggestion. I’ll bear it in mind for the future.

and @Thepeug like I said I usually don’t follow my own advice but then again I always consider any new mix to be something that I have to be comfortable if I throw it out.
