Just got a great eyewaterer

With Creme de Figue of all things. Usually it’s with toast I get them but this one was more luxurious if eyewatering can be so. Definitely a 5 star. All to fleeting. Think I would have been happy to have that buzz for a good hour or maybe more. Maybe it’s dried a bit after being in my tin a few days or I haven’t pinched for an hour. Liked it a lot. That is all.

@I_snuff_therefore__ I am also a BIG fan of Creme de Figue. It is an incredible experience–a phenomenon unto itself.

My second order of CDF has a great deal of amonia which doesn’t seem to dissappear completely even on airing or even after a week in my snuff tin. The first batch I got didn’t have any amonia but also I think was not as fresh. I of course like them both but the amonia is very strong indeed in the second although so also is the figue flavour and it doesn’t seem to cause as much drip as the first. Adding a very little cafe 11 seemed to dampen down the amonia greatly and that is actually the blend that is giving me these great hits. But also enjoying some Auld Alliance with a little Wos Coffee Cream added. Really gorgeous, heavonly comes to mind right now as it kicks in although a bit of afterdrip. I do love these Artisan snuffs for sure. Seem to like them more from I started vaping since when I seem to have lost my usual preferene for toast snuffs. Think it’s because I’m getting enough nicotine from vaping and so then from snuff I want the beautiful natural flavours of the Artisan snuffs. Can’t believe that intially I wasn’t convinced by them at all but then I was fairly new to snuff and trying a lot of new vaireties and flavours. Sure is a turnaround now. They’re all I seem to want now but I really do think it has some connection with my vaping alongside or inbetween. Haven’t really got to grips with Moro Moro yet (drip) but by God I’m going to perservere and put all of my energy into it. Funnily enough snuffing and vaping tends to make me rather lazy indeed. Sorted of zonked most of the time. lol.

Thanks for your viewpoint on this. It is interesting how our tastes and preferences change over time. Do you commonly blend coarse snuffs with fine grind snuffs (CdF and Cafe 11)? I have always avoided that. Am I missing something important here? Making a mistake, maybe? I am highly enthusiastic about Abraxas and SWS snuffs and think they are the best out there. Of course, I am also a huge fan of Toque and Dholakia snuffs as well. And for some reason, I am not as taken with the vast majority of WoS or SG snuffs, and although they are decent, these have more often disappointed me than pleased me. This was true, for me, even back in the early 1980s when I first started trying snuffs. And I know that I am in the minority on this but there it is for what it’s worth. I know what you mean about Moro Moro and I have to say I love the stuff.

I just blend almost anything to at least try. I only used a little ratio of coffee cream and cafe 11 to the CDF and Auld Alliance and I hardly even notice them visually in there once mixed. It just seems to spread the Artisan snuff a little further and lets me use up some other snuffs but the resultant flavour can be very pleasing. I’m not actually keen on Cafe 11 or Coffee Cream that much on their own although I do like them but I find them nice as a flavour additive for these super coarse snuffs. Also I much prefer the Coarse Premium batch to the Fin as I think I just like those big juicy grains. I tried my Dopple Fermentiert snuff today as I had thought it had some similarity with this Auld Alliance/coffee cream blend but I was overwhelmed by the extra rich Xmas puddingness. Not a patch on the devine AA. I also got my Old Paris (and it is old at about a year or more) and it was pretty nice. Seemed to have mellowed nicely but still a slight bit perfumy I thought. Also tried to see if my Dholakia Chocolate Orange would maybe fix the Dopple Fermentiert but I don’t think so. The coffee cream or cafe 11might though. I think I even had previously mixed the coffee cream with some WoS Irish Cream so I will probably order both of those again in future as I do like them. So myself not really a Dholakia man but did like the White for raw power and have a couple of small tubs but don’t know when I will get around to them. I really don’t get on with Toque at all much. I bought 6x25g’s to try and only finished the Natural Toast. Hardly touched the rest. Not sure why but they just don’t do anything much for me and I prefer some of the WoS but who knows what I will think about this all in another year. Currently it’s all about the Artisans and no point trying much more stuff until I’ve at least got through some of the other snuff I’ve accumulated but that could take a long time if I can’t get off these luxury goodies. Just back from scouting out a local country lane just outside Armagh NI where the Giro D’Italia will pass in a couple of weeks on it’s 3rd stage. Strangely a lane about 4 miles away and I’ve never been along it in my life but it is in some great countryside so should look super on TV. Hope I can get to the good vantage point I found on the day. Couldn;t believe how warm and humid it was cycling along this evening. Was trying to seek out breezes constantly to try and cool down. Bit tortuous and I only cycled about 8 miles at an easy pace and they will be racing for about 150 miles and very fast. It’s kind of unbelievable.
