Hi, I live in Belgium, we are in top 3 ranking european countries (including eastern-europe) concerning traffic deaths. Traffic is litterary filled here with psycho’s, high speed driving and driving under influence. I have had several terrible experiences with psycho’s who were trying to hit me on the road on purpose and crashed already with them on 2 occasions (in one case seriously injuring my daughter, wife and a thirt car with 2kids onboard, 4 ambulances were needed and the fire department), wich turned me into buying a traffic recorder. I daily commute between my home town and the main capital were I work and the things I see… A few months ago I had to pull out a motor driver from under a car and had to testify as witness. I was wondering how traffic is in your part of the world and what measures you have taken yourself. Feel free to post also your experiences.

That put stuff in perspective. We have some bad drivers in the upper peninsula or Michigan, but its mostly tailgaters and people who drive slowly in the passing lane. As far as I know no one drives with the intent of hitting other cars up here, but there’s plenty of drunk drivers. Luckily I’m usually not on the road with them.
