Jaxons SP Premium Snuff

Hi everyone,
I have just emptied my first can of Jaxons SP Premium Snuff and wanted to give you my impressions.
First of all: I had already tried the 1869 from Jaxons some time ago but hadn’t reviewed it - maybe I’ll catch up on that. Anyway - I can therefore say that the Jaxons tins are very generously filled; perhaps too generously for some people. So be careful when opening!
The SP from Jaxons is quite finely ground and not easy to sniff. The tobacco is light brown in color and medium moist; from the tin the smell of the beautiful base tobacco rises into the nose, together with a pleasantly subtle bergamot aroma. On the nose, Jaxons delivers what it promises when you smell the tin: a good, solid tobacco aroma with a slight citrus note (nice burn).
An absolute recommendation for people who want a bergamot SP that is only gently flavored. This snuff also delivers in terms of nicotine and, in my experience, ranks in the upper midfield for vitamin N.

P.S,: The snuff was also reviewed on “Simply Snuff!” and rated as good. However, the reviewer obviously had a bad nose day, because he says the snuff is unaromatized. This is definitely wrong. The bergamot aroma is comparatively subtle, but clearly present.
P.P,S,: As far as I know, the Jaxons company is still fairly new in the business. Unfortunately, I can’t find anything about them online. Does anyone have more information?

It used to be plain SP-type base without a hint of any flavouring. Current Jaxons line is manufactured by McChrystal’s using a flour supplied by WoS.

Jaxons was incorporated on the 29th April 2009 and is classed, like McChrystals, as a micro-company. I’ve never tried their products.
