Hello all, This is actually a question about the Jaxon’s tin I received. I had received this and it was almost less than half full. I wanted to put this on another thread if it was discussed before. But does anyone know how much is supposed to be in there?
I guess it’s based on weight. I know some snuffs I get seem low… some over stuffed. If you have a way to weigh it? What’s it supposed to be? 10g? Maybe get a 10g tin and see how it fills it? And did you get it new?
Jaxons is very moist, so that probably has something to do with it.
Dont worry my two tins of Cafe Creme are half full too.
According to Snuff Store the tins contain 10 grams of snuff. I’ve used quite a bit of this snuff and I’m happy that I receive enough of it in every tin. If you look at the Molens “tins” you will see that they are also only partly filled. I have some Latakia 1860, ChocoCreme and Macuba and the amount of snuff differs in every box, according to the moistness of the snuff. It’s the weight that counts and not the amount of snuff.
Hmm I m using a tin of Jaxon’s Cafe Creme for some weeks now, and its still 85% filled.
Pieter: I did want to post this on the “is it a rip-off?” thread, but the particulars you know Thanks for the input all, and I’m just happy to get my hands on this. Excellent this English Toffee.
@squarefiend, I have CafeCreme and English Toffee and love them both. If you’ve got some Latakia 1860, make a little 50/50 mix with the Jaxons and tell me what you think of it!!
If you way it, find some way to tare the tin. the Jaxon’s tin itself is kind of heavy
The secret of my old Jaxon’s Cafe Creme - still 85% filled after some weeks, was a air bubble on the bottom of the tin. Suddenly, the other week it was empty
_The secret of my old Jaxon’s Cafe Creme - still 85% filled after some weeks, was a air bubble on the bottom of the tin. Suddenly, the other week it was empty :)_Haha the bubble bust!! Happens to me all the time. I have yet to try anything by Jaxon. I wonder if they do a coffee variety at all.
Cafe Creme is a coffee variety
Ha. Thanks for that it never really registered. What came to mind was Cocoa + milk flavour but i am after a sort of roasted coffee beans flavour without the creamy undertone.
I could recommend Sam Gawith Black Coffee then, but I am only making that recommendation by its reputation. I’ve not actually had it. I’m not a great lover of the coffee snuffs.
I second Samuel Gawith Black Coffee, it’s great - another equally great coffee snuff is “Cafe Noir” from snuffstore.co.uk
Thanks guys for the recommendations. I will give SG Black Coffee a try.
Gawith Hoggarth Tia Maria is great as well.
