Anyone know brands of Italian nasal snuffs? And where I can purchase ?

I am afraid that there is no remaining Italian snuff manufacture nowadays. The Italian Tobacco State Monopoly was producing several kinds of snuff until the 1990s. In this blog by an italian snuffer you can see some examples.

The only snuff remotely Italian you can still find is “Santa Caterina”, but is actually manufactured by german Poeschl for the Italian market, using their common tobacco base. “Santa Caterina” is available in 2 varieties: Blue (plain) and Red (Mentholated), and presented in Poeschl typical 10g sealed envelopes.

Snuffvillian Ok kool thanks for info where do u buy yours? Un-Kool though about Italian Snuff no longer made Also is the Santa Caterina good,even though it’s made by Poschl does it have its Italian style snuff character? Or basically Poschl style rebranded?

@snuffvillian I may be wrong, but I believe that Santa Caterina Red has been discontinued, so the Blue is the only “Italian” snuff right now.
