A rainy, stormy afternoon hangin’ out and stripping some 2010 Red Virginia (Piedmont). This is going to go into a new snuff: “Old Dominion”. Haven’t a clue when it’ll be ready, but when it lets me know, I’ll pass it on.
Gorgeous.
nice. My gut says it would make a great pipe tobacco.
@bob This would make a fine pipe tobacco with some additional work, as is it’s still a little harsh. The “Old Dominion” snuff this is headed for will take between 18-24 months to mature, and it’s only one of five layers in the recipe. There are four other Virginias being worked with or on the way; one is a very rare Orinoco from the Old Belt near Orange, VA that should be great-Air Cured, Dark and loaded with deep, rich tobacco flavor.
More beautiful things: Dominican Seco filler leaf from the Cibao Valley. There’s a cigar snuff in our future.
