Is this a decent Schmalzler sampler?

I’m about ready to take a trip down Schmalzler Lane, and get familiar with this genre of snuff. I’ve read up on a couple of these snuffs, and people do say that Poschl is known best for the Schmalzlers, but I’m unfamiliar with about half. Do you think this is a decent introduction into Schmalzers? https://mistersnuff.com/catalog/schmalzlerfest-bundle-p-2666.html Basically, it’s this: 1 x (BER304) Bernard Aecht Alt Schmalzler 10g 1 x (BER462) Bernard Brasil Doppelt Fermentiert 10g 1 x (BER310) Bernard Brasil Feinst 10g 1 x (BER330) Bernard Brasil Fresco 10g 1 x (POS034) Poschl Schmalzler A Brasil 100g 1 x (STE002) Sternecker Echt Fresco 50g 1 x (STE005) Sternecker Staubinger 100g 1 x (POS036) Poschl Schmalzler D Doppelaroma 25g In the pipe-tobacco world, many samplers include a couple of duds just to get them off the shelves. Not knowing enough about Schmalzlers, I’m wondering if this is the case as well. Any comments would be appreciated!

There’s no duds in your list, just good tobacco of varying aromas.

Nice grab, That should last about a month or two . :x Fall is around the corner {AKA} Schmalzler Season. I enjoy them best with a mild chill in the air! Nobody doesn’t like a Schmalzler!

No duds in that bundle. All very good. I wouldn’t say Pöschl makes the best schmalzlers, and I don’t recall reading that anywhere, either. I do say that I don’t much care for their products in general except for their schmalzlers, which are excellent. Basically there are only three companies that make them, and they all make good ones, but noticeably different from each other. That bundle is nearly a complete set. It has all of Bernard’s classic 4 (not the four that came out in the last 2 years, which are flavored and somewhat experimental). it has 2 of 3 Sternecker’s and 2/4 Pöschl’s. Only miff I have with it, and I know this is the mistake on MrSnuff website because it gets copied and pasted here all the time, is the misspelled or incomplete name of no. 1. It should read Aecht Altbayerischer - meaning “genuine old Bavarian.” Aecht Alt simply translates to “real old”. 8-| Its like the old joke about why the Chevy Nova wouldn’t sell in Spanish speaking countries, no va means “no go” in Spanish! Not good for a car… Also MrSnuff if you are reading and decide to correct that, also change Staubinger to Straubinger.

I didn’t hear that they make the best Schmalzlers either…the information I read was that they are known best for their Schmalzlers. In truth, from the little I’ve tried, I’ve preferred the Bernards over the Poschls. However, the entire point of this sampling order is to get myself more familiar with this type of snuff. Good to know that this is a good sampling though. I’m pretty excited to make an order now! Thanks for all the input.
